Alight I know there's always the classic songs that most everyone will bust to, but there's usually one or two songs that just get you goin. that one song if it pops up on your diskman/ipod/what ever you start dancing randomly on the street. and it doesn't even have to be b-boy tunes in the strictest of terms, I know I've busted to some weird a** tunes (*coughcoughwhenever wherever - shakira.... we were desperate*cough*)
currently the one that's been making me want to move is "hope time - stanton warriors" I saw these guys spin at shambhala and they were absolutely sick, despite the fact I had the song before I saw them spin. It has a sweet break beat to it, and this powerful speech dubbed in for vocals. not to mention the fact it was donated top the "breakbeat elite" compilation which was a relief effort for the tsunami victims... check it o?t if you can find it, if you can't give me a PM
now what's your fave? I need some new music domokun

I'll post up some of my tunes when I get off work later.
I listen to everything. I don't limit myself to just Break beats. Listening and dancing to a variety of different music builds more musicality(in my opinion). Also I think different music that gets you movin (other than break beats) will help develop your own original style. I get bored of seeing bboys/bgirls that dance almost identical to each other. I remember watching BREAKVISION (I think it's vol.2, I forgot) and REMIND was talking about how he vibes to Bob Marley and other reggae tunes.

i love breakbeats..but i think bboys and bgirls should break to other tunes too. there is a bunch of hiphop music out there that is good to dance too. <3
i have a number of them on itunes.

I found that somehow I can miraculously feel the right beat for breaking in some punk / hardcore music... is it wrong? for an example see "lets go crazy" - refused

Well for me, when we are talking dancing... it all comes down to the drums. As long as I can hear drums, then I have a groove to bust to. But I've heard some jams that don't really have drums and consequently, its very hard for me to bust to them.
But yeah, if there are drums of some sort... then I'm good.

I've found with a lot of music, especially getting into more rock type stuff, they depend less on the drum, and start wailing way more on the cymbals so you have to listen to the crash more then the bass drum for a steady beat (or so my theory goes).

Well...
I LOVE to dance, so I usually have a lot of songs I dance to. I practically dance to anything with hard bass and a fast beat. Right now, the two songs I am completely in love with is : Ghetto Rock - Mos Def and Touch It - Busta Rhymes whee I had Touch It on my mp3 player way before it came out and I just killed it at this party. 3nodding But usually if it's a top 40 song with a nice beat, I can murk it! xd

"Holla at Me."- Dj Khaled I know it's sampled from Afrika Bambaata's "Looking for the Perfect Beat" but I can't stop moving to it when I hear it.
"Looking for the Perfect Beat"- Afrika Baambata and the Soul Sonic Force "Touch It(Remix)"- Busta Rhymes, etc.
