Section 1: Beginning Information

Torran: Hi there, welcome to the New Tree Consultant Training program. I'm your instructor, Torran. In this section, we will be discussing what is means to be a consultant, some major requirements, and what you will do as a consultant . First off, let's answer this common question: "What is an consultant?"
By definition a consultant is:
"An expert who charges a fee for providing advice or services in a particular field."

And by that definition, is what you will be doing. Consultants handle cases. Cases are searches clients have placed, that are assigned to you by higher position workers, such as a manger, a senior assistant, or even the business owner. Consultants, at one given time, deal with at least two cases. Each case is unique as the client who submits the application. Thus, each time you will spend on a case will also be unique.

Becoming a New Tree consultant is more than a high paying commission based job. It requires 7 key factors:
• Knowledge of the Myers-Briggs personality types, with their corresponding opposite.
• An out-going personality.
• Analyzing and Critical Thinking skills.
• Patients.
• An attendance of 12 hours a week (Monday - Saturday )
• Compassion
• The feeling of wanting to help people more than get paid.

¥ New Tree will be offering a live classroom session. The class is free to attend, but the training package cost 500g which contains a typed version of the class, a print our of the types and a more example.

Knowledge of the Myers-Briggs personality types is mandatory as being a consultant of New Tree. You might be asking yourself, "Why?". The reason being is the Myers-Briggs is very important factor when matching clients to their potentials.

An out-going personality for a consultant is necessary. Studies have show people prefer the warm attitude of most people than anything. Remember, just because your shy, doesn't mean your out-going, never be afraid to ask for help from a senior ranking member.

Analyzing and Critical Thinking skills. Your going to be constantly reviewing forms, this often will raise questions such as:
"What criteria should I look up first?"
"What interests and values, or personality types match?"
"Is there matches that are close enough to group them together?"
When we match candidate, we ask these questions over and over again. Sometimes perfect matches are not available, so searching for the closest next best thing may be in order. You always make your search based on the criteria based on this order:
~ Personality Types
~ Values
~ Interests
This will ensure the best possible match ups.

"Patients is a virtue", remember, you want to your very best. Rushing though your cases looks bad on you, and looks bad on the company. It can lower your customer rating as well. This can lead to less clients, which means less pay, and may even lead to the loss of your job if your not careful. If there is a conflict with a client, (say they want results right away, ensure them that you are trying your absolute best.), report it to a senior ranking member, before it gets out of hand.

An attendance of 12 hours a week, you don't really need to have this attendance, it does help if your trying to get more clients. We assign clients by a consultant's past performance, attendance is one way we measure performance. Each time you come on, you should sign in on the Attendance Sheet.

Just show that you care will make you a better consultant. It will improve your rating as well. More rating equals more clients. If your desire is to help people regardless of how much gold you make, your mind is in a very great setting. This will increase your overall comfort level amount other people as well as clients.

As more candidates sign up, more matches can be made. Every other day the new candidate list is updated. Every time the new candidate list is posted, the consultant reviews each new candidate in correspond to one of their current clients. When a list of matches is complied for a candidate, the consultant must sign off the candidates that are one the list. When the client chooses the person they would like to meet, the consultant will send a Pm to the choice to the New Tree Mule. A senior ranking member will remove the candidate from the list.

When a result list is given out, they first receive a incomplete list, this list contains information about the candidate, but does not include their name. Once the client has picked from the list and had paid, the client will receive the name of the candidate they pick. They may choose to talk in our special forums, or they may PM each other.
