There's two trips I really really want to take this summer.
The guild trip, obviously. (Speaking of which, is there any word on that?)
And one of my best friends from high school is getting married. In England.
I can't afford to do both, in terms of money and in terms of getting time off from work. (Strangely enough, it costs about the same amount to fly to England as it does to fly to California.)
Which should I do?

I can't say you must choose which ever you value more because one can't be forced to choose between awesomeness and marriage. I'd think the guild would prefer you on the trip but marriages are important for the person getting married for family and friends to be there because it will always be there as part of a great past. I can't really say on choices because I don't have many myself.

But what's more important, your friend's wedding, that will only happen once (well, at least her first wedding will only happen once, but if she's lucky it's her last as well) or to see people you'll probably get the chance to see more times. I'd go for the wedding if I were you.

I would have answered the same even if the wedding was in South-Africa or China or wherever the ******** XD The fact that you may possibly drop by is just a bonus. Think of it like this.
Your friend, if it's a good friend, will understand that you can't make it and will go on and enjoy their wedding with no issues.
If you skip the guild trip, there is going to be a big hole in the fun shaped like a short Canadian girl laying eggs out of her mouth and bouncing without provocation.
