How many other people end up using the bassoon for other classes? Like, you have to write a poem in English, it ends up being about the bassoon, or you are supposed to write a story problem for math so it's about someone who broke their reeds? Or am I the only one who does that?

A LOT.
In high school I wrote a musical composition for bassoon for a project in English class.
I'm working on my college thesis right now. it's on philosophy of music, and I'm pulling from a lot of examples I got from playing bassoon in orchestra.

I'm sure I've done it before. I know for Freshman Composition I I wrote a paper over learning to play the bassoon. lol.
I also have to find a piece (I already chose it.), analyze it, write a paper over it, present it and perform it in class for Music Theory IV this semester... I don't know if that really counts.
