The stone, as always, was warm to her touch, but Myrmaejaes frowned. The spark was gone. Now, more than ever, was it difficult to create. After all, she had three kips to worry about. She thought about making a visit to their father, introduce them, maybe see if he wanted to take part in their childhood, but not now. They were too small for that. She faced the granite in front of her. She wanted to make something for her children, something special, but what? Maybe this was one of those times where it would be best to let the stone decide for itself... But what tone? Was this a friend? Or a lover? Or... or the kips' father? A smile crept around the corners of the stony 'giet's mouth as she pictured Agni, the firey Mag'Ud who had fathered the fuzzy trio. Looking sideways at the rock, she briefly rubbed it with her chin. "Hello, you," she said, trying for all the world to look sane while she addressed the rock. "It's been a while... but, well, I've been busy. We've got three children to worry about now, y'know. Two boys, and a girl..." Slowly, the rock began to groan and crack, warming and stretching under her paws. Smiling, she continued her ministrations...

She remembered the first thing she'd ever really made.
A few dents and chips in the stone were one thing, but this had been a vessel. It had a purpose, and a life of its own. She'd chosen the stone for its utility, not its beauty; it was plain and white, and on the softer side. There were no bands of color running through it, no flecks of mica to make it sparkle. She knew that its purpose would give it its own life- nature didn't need to give it one in this case. The herbs that would be mashed, the berries that would be crushed- these would make it more beautiful than any mineral trace ever could.
