Do you think its the beginning of a new fad in the American music industry? Having Japanese pop stars debut here?
BoA definitely seems to have the attitude of an American pop star and her accent is barely audible... And you don't need intelligent or complex lyrics to make it in American music scene. XD

Yeah. Utada tried before and never really stuck in America, but these days she may have better luck. Japanese bands are playing in the US now (mostly at conventions), so maybe this time around will be better.

For her first album released yes. Way before Exodus she was under the name Cubic U.
