Yienth is the senior Gold dragon of Benden Weyr- and she's going to die. Weyrwoman Merdri died when her dragon was in the middle of clutching, leaving Yienth with only one thing to live for; the thirty-six eggs she has laid.
Everyone around watches her eggs with mixtures of emotions; sorrow, joy, expectation, and for some, ambition. The world revolves around her eggs for everyone within Benden Weyr, particularly the largest one- a gold egg. When the dragonet inside hatches, it will be the third queen in Benden Weyr; a long-retired Ulinth and the young and spry Kiath.
There are seventy-two candidates. Some will leave empty handed, for sure. Most will. For some it is their last chance. For others, their first. For many, just one of many hatchings. And those that manage to Impress a dragon... ah, they will have a day of glory. Please read.
This is based on Pern, a fictional world created by Anne McCaffrey. If you don't know those books, I will include some links here for you to read.

Name: K'fel
Gender: Male
Age: 28 turns
Rank: Wingsecond
Appearance: K'fel is tall and graceful, traits inherited from his mother; but his curly black hair, cut short, and his brown, almond-shaped eyes he inherited from his father. He's got thick arms and legs, muscles he acquired from the strains of being a dragonrider, and his skin is dark and tanned.
Personality: K'fel is loud and talkative, and ever the ladies man. He's got the willpower to stare down the weyrleader, but the common sense not to- most of the time. He is a joker, comical all the way through, and enjoys both time spent alone and in a crowd.
Dragon: Neth
Other: His name before Impressing Neth was Kannafel, and his weyrmate is Nona; they've been weyrmates since Neth first managed to fly Kiath.
Roleplayer Snowy Zombie

Age: 13 turns
Appearance: Neth is a large brown, larger even than some of the bronze dragons at 36 feet.
Personality: Neth is just as mischievous a dragon as K'fel is a rider. While he differs from K'fel on several points, when it gets down to it they're basically the same. A good soul masked by comedity and lecherousness surrounds Neth, and he is one to enjoy happiness of any sort- fleeting or long-term.

Other: Neth has flown Kiath twice now, but faces much bigger difficulties now that Kiath will be the senior gold in Benden Weyr.

Name: Ioshan
Gender: Female
Age: 17 turns
Appearance: Ioshan has big brown eyes that plead innocence, long-lashed and warm. She's got scarlet hair that tumbles down her back, constantly pulled behind her ears, and is of average height and weight; her skin is tanned from many hours spent aspiring to be a rider.
Personality: She enjoys her status as a candidate; both for the social benefits it brings her from the other girls, but from her own aspiration to become a rider as well. Being a goldrider would be amazing; but she'd never pass up a green hatchling, either. The thrill of flight, the chill of between, it all calls to her, and she'll do anything to get it.
Other: Ioshan was born in the Weyr, but this will only be her second time as a candidate.

[A loooooooooong time ago, I tried to read that series, but I guess I was too young for it, and now I have no time. Can you explain to me the rules and ranks and stuff, and how the magicy stuffs works? Like the connections between riders and dragons?]

Gender: Male
Age: 14 turns
Appearance: He has white hair, and pale skin, he is covered in old scar wounds, his eyes are a dark rusty red brownish color, and he usualy wears a hood to cover his strange white hair, he is well built, and has bandages around his hands, feet legs and elbows along with his neck
Personality: Loki is kind, even thought he is treated as an out cast most of his life. He is distance from people and always found comfort in the sight of dragons, dragons were the kindest of all creatures to him.
Bio: He was caught by a cruel man at one point in his life, and was sent to get herbs. A dragon would change his life completely. He is hopeful and yet at the same time he is hesitant.Loki heard about the dragons, and was astounded at first at the thought that one of them could possibly be for him and yet at the same time he doesn't think himself worthy and yet is it the only possible way to let himself be freed.
