exclaim It can be your own rendition, another artists interpetation, or a pic of something on the web that looks remarkably like your character.

exclaim Important!! When you post, please keep up the appearance of a fancy thread and "ornate" your replies. For those who are not familar with the new post system, it is the "post style" right under "color" at the top of the message bar. Just scroll down and click "Ornate." I am going to be a little strict about this, because I want this thread to give the impression of a actual gallery.

exclaim Size: This is going to another strict area...I don't care about the dpi (although 72-200 is fine) but please keep pics down to 600x800 (pixels) or less. Doesn't have to be exact, so a little over is okay. I just do not want some huge picture uploaded that takes days to see... sweatdrop

exclaim If you find a picture on the internet that is someone elses work, all I ask is to please give the site URL and credit to the artist!
I am a illustrator myself that has had work stolen before, (here on Gaia and elsewhere.) so I know how it feels when someone else gets credit for your time and effort!! I want to emphasis that I don't mind a internet pic...just let us know where you got it!

I am posting this for an example of how you can go about displaying your character. You can do whatever you want in your post, just make sure you "ornate" it!

Anyway, this pic is a older version of my character Fauntine. She originally was half-fey. (Hence the golden wings)Mother was pure fairy, and her father-- average human (with issues) She was still sold to gypsies when her father murdered her mother accidently, and she had no evil half sister Elenca. (in Crosshaven RP, her father deliberately kills her mother. Why, still remains a mystery.) I also had her with gold eyes instead of gray...but the rest is pretty much the same. I will do an updated version very soon.

For all who want to know my media here, I drew this with colored pencil, and yes, I am professional. (I just can live on art right now like I want) I can't stand this picture anymore...too many flaws. But I want to give everyone a glimpse of what she looks like.

Huh, am I the only other one with character art so far? o_o;

In any case, this is something I did cause I felt like it, and is closer to avatar art than character art, but nonetheless how I dress my avi is how I imagine my character. 3nodding This is me imagining what I want to get in the future as well, so there are a few items on her here that I don't actually own yet - namely, the jacket, the bag, and the anklets. For the purpose of Crosshaven RP, her character won't have the anklets, but that's the only difference.



In the future I also hope to have a multitude of different t-shirts, which I shall rotate on a daily basis. 3nodding

(I may be open to doing character art for others too, but that's largely connected to my whims. ^_^; And me having a scanner. gonk )

In this picture, I would like to say I had the most interesting experience with paint. My bro broke my photoshop thing, and it didnt work ne ways, My scanner blew up in the hurrican "Wilma" and my camera was at my grandma's house in pr because she needed it to take pics for her paintings she does for a living... So i took the time to draw my character.

Zues, in this picture, Can be found as one of his usualy trip suits, this one specifcaly for trips to India.

The same as my sig--here is River Tamlin. I was going to upload the "Serenity" pic of "River Tam"...but decided artwork was the better way to go. I am going to have Fauntine draw me a better version than displayed here (not that this version is bad, but I want a black dress and moonblades showing.) This is a cheap, I know, but I can't find anything close to what Elenca is supposed to look like. Until I get decent art done of her, this will have to do. I pictured her like Angelina Jolie from Hackers, but this pic displays Elenca a little better.

This art is actually one of Fauntine's wonderful creations!! She was kind enough to let me use it. It is for sale and you can see more of her beautiful artwork on her website. There is a woman on the art as well but she has nothing to do with Crosshaven but since it was so beautiful I just had to post it as it was. The man is Adrien a few years younger than he is now. ((Only difference his hair is slightly longer with little gray now that he is older.))
