Learning Techniques


These are the techniques that can be learned in the South Blue. If you do not understand a technique, PM a Mod or post in the Questions and Suggestions thread.

To learn a technique, you must find a teacher, fill the requirements, and follow the post length. Each post of learning should be at least 4 lines minimum. They can be as long as you want them to be, but they must have at least 4 full lines of typing. For example, if a technique's post length is 2, then you must post twice, with each post being at least 4 lines long. After a technique is learned, the person who learned the technique receives the awarded experience points and a new technique to use in combat.


Leveling Up


To level up, you must obtain a certain amount of experience. Each time one reaches an the required amount of experience, they will be given 3 more stat points to distribute. These can be considered levels. For example, if some one was level 1 and wanted to grow to level 2, they would have to reach 20,000 experience. This goes on in the same fashion for each level. 10,000 experience equals 1 level. If you do not understand this, please PM a Mod or posts in the Questions and Suggestions thread.

Each time you grow a level, you receive 3 more points to distribute throughout your stats.

Technique Name: Black Beard's Will
Description: The user increases their stamina so that attacks do no hurt them as much as others. +5 stamina for 5 posts.
Requirements: You must be a captain

Technique Name: Dark Hold
Description: When the user grabs hold of any devil fruit user, the fruit user cannot use their powers.
Requirements: Yami Yami no Mi

Technique Name: Dark Vortex
Description: The user places their palm towards the opponent or a desired object and uses the gravity of darkness to suck the opponent towards the user.
Requirements: Yami Yami no Mi

Technique Name: Black Hole
Description: The user sends a large amount of darkness across the entire ground. Once the amount of area wanted is covered the darkness than begins rotating. Anything touching the darkness on the ground is then pulled into the black hole.
Requirements: Yami Yami no Mi.

Technique Name: Liberation
Description: After using the dark hole technique, the user causes everything sucked into the black hole to implode and come flying out destroyed or badly damaged.
Requirements: Yami Yami no Mi and know Black Hole.

Technique Name: Scope Shot
Description: The user looks through the scope on their rifle and shoots an opponent's arm or leg, disabling that body part for 3 posts. Roll a 6 sided die. If the outcome is 4 or greater, the shot was successful.
Requirements: User must be a marksmen and have a rifle.
Post Length: 6 posts

Technique Name: 36 Shot Combo
Description: The user shoots 36 random bullets at an opponent. Roll six 6 sided dice. The outcome is how many bullets are aimed at the opponent.
Requirements: User must have a gun.

Technique Name: Piercing Bullet
Description: One precise shot through a limb of the opponent. The wound that it leaves is much more painful and harder to treat. This is very difficult to dodge.
Requirements: User must be a marksmen and have a gun.

Technique Name: Silent Scope Piercing Barrage
Description: A barrage of 32 piercing bullets. These bullets cut right through a limb of the opponent if hit. The user looks through the scope on their rifle for a more precise shot. Roll eight 4 sided dice. The outcome is the amount of bullets that are on target.
Requirements: User must be a marksmen, have a rifle, and know Piercing Bullet.

Technique Name: Healing Remedy
Description: The user uses herbs and other medical items to heal one person very quickly. Although quick this is only a temporary solution and the healed wound resurfaces 3 posts later. This technique can only be used 3 times in battle.
Requirements: The user must be a doctor and have a herb, a medicine bowl and a smasher.
Post Length: 6 posts

Technique Name: Healing Hand
Description: After smashing herbs in the medicine bowl. The user slaps some of the herb, not a liquid onto their hand. They then press their against a wound. They can only heal a wound as large as their hands. This technique can only be used 2 times per battle.
Requirements: The user must be a doctor and have two herb, a medicine bowl and a smasher

Technique Name: Crew Heal
Description: This allows the user to heal a whole crew of people, depending on how much medicine they have. This technique does not heal the user when in use. The heal itself takes 3 posts. If an enemy attack hits the doctor in the process the attack becomes null and void and cannot be used again.This technique can only be used 1 time per battle.
Requirements: The user must be a doctor and must have 3 herbs for each member of their crew, a medicine bowl and a smasher.

Technique Name: Exploding Apple
Description: The user learns the art of the exploding apple. A tricky weapon.
Requirements: Must have exploding apples

Technique Name: Doctor-Knife Slash
Description: A slash to a vital part of a person's body with a knife or scalpel.
Requirements: User must be a Doctor and have a dagger or scalpel.
Post Length: 5 posts

Technique Name: Doctor-Piercing Incision
Description: The user continuously stabs the opponent in one of their vital organs with a scalpel or dagger. This attack is very short ranged but without a Doctor, the victim will most likely die. This technique can only be used 1 time per battle. Some Cursed Fruits are immune to this attack.
Requirements: User must be a Doctor, know Doctor-Knife Slash and have a dagger or scalpel.

Technique Name: Sunlight Punch
Description: An uppercut punch that is thrown at a wicked speed to strike first.
Requirements: None

Technique Name: Moonlight Kick
Description: A fast kick delivered from a rapid spin.
Requirements: None

Technique Name: Dynamic Punch
Description: A strong punch thrown with incredible power.
Requirements: User must know Sunlight Punch.

Technique Name: Megaton Kick
Description: An extremely powerful kick with intense force.
Requirements: User must know Moonlight Kick.
Post Length: 7 posts

Technique Name: Submission
Description: A strong grapple which may knock your opponent out. Roll a 6 sided die. If you get a 3 or 4, this attack is successful.

Technique Name: Soft Step
Description: The user moves at high speeds, not quite matching that of the CP9 soru. The difference between this and Stealth Walk is that this techniques offers more control. The user can zigzag, turn etc but stealth walk and soru are faster. This move can only be used twice per battle.
Requirements: Must know Stealth Walk

Technique Name: Advanced Soft Step
Description: The user is not only able to move at the same speeds as Soft Step and control themselves while doing it but they move very quietly. Due to the lack of noise they are impossible for an opponent to track unless the opponent moves at a faster speed than this technique.
Requirements: Must know Soft Step & Must be a Navigator
