I've noticed that everytime I go into the arena's, they seem to be corrupt... My avatar will get good ratings, but never gets above 50th place. Plus, it seems like towards the end, people just give me ones for shits and giggles or something.

Does anyone else think it's corrupt?
Why do you think this?

It counts upon how many times you get voted on... such as.. if you get 4 perfects, and someone else got 5 perfects they're ahead. The more votes the more it counts. Basically it's popularity rather then creativity, then again there goes the rules for all such contests.

Myspoonistoobig once won with a stupid avatar just for being so damned popular. Yeah, I don't even bother with the arena.

Never even heard of Myspoonistoobig.... Guess they aren't that popular. Apparently they are just a guild owner who got all their little guild followers to vote for them. Lame...

I submit to the arena to maybe win one day... doubt it'll ever happen but it's worth a shot.

I know there's a bunch of idiots on their that know nothing about photography, so their rating isn't even right though.

I remember the Myspoonistoobig thing. That was a long time ago, wasn't it?

Same on the photography arena. I don't know if it matters what they know about "photography" so much as what they know about art in general. Stuff seems to be judged on an "I like the subject" basis rather than artistic merit. My spider photograph garnered me this comment:
"I HATE SPIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! and that is the only thing im scared of.. >={ i dont think this was a very good pic sorry "

I couldn't help but eek . It wasn't supposed to be about whether you like spiders or not. rolleyes That kind of thing annoys me. Judge by the merit, or not at all, please.
