Learning Techniques


These are the techniques that can be learned in the Marines. If you do not understand a technique, PM a Mod or post in the Questions and Suggestions thread.

To learn a technique, you must find a teacher, fill the requirements, and follow the post length. Each post of learning should be at least 4 lines minimum. They can be as long as you want them to be, but they must have at least 4 full lines of typing. For example, if a technique's post length is 2, then you must post twice, with each post being at least 4 lines long. After a technique is learned, the person who learned the technique receives the awarded experience points and a new technique to use in combat.


Leveling Up


To level up, you must obtain a certain amount of experience points. Each time one reaches an the required amount of experience points, they would rise up one level. For example, if some one was level 1 and wanted to grow to level 2, they would have to obtain 20,000 experience points. This goes on in the same fashion for each level. If one wanted to grow to level 3, they would have to obtain 30,000 experience points, 40,000 for level 4, and so on. Technique Name: Catching the Bullet
Description: The user can catch a bullet using nothing but their hands. This technique can only be used 1 time per battle
Requirements: User must be an Admiral.
Post Length: 6 posts

Technique Name: Admiral Deflection
Description: The user holds their arm out and are then able to deflect bullets with it without taking damage. This technique can only be used 2 times per battle.
Requirements: User must be an Admiral.
Post Length: 8 posts

Technique Name: Catching the Blade
Description: The user is literary able to catch an opponent's blade without taking damage. They can hold on to the blade making their enemy stay in range of attack. This can only be used twice per battle
Requirements: User must be an Admiral and know Admiral Deflection.
Post Length: 10 posts

Technique Name: Fleet Admiral Shield
Description: The user is able to reflect one attack back at the opponent much like tekkai it involves strengthening the body as well as matching the momentum of the attack. This cannot be a cursed fruit attack. This can only be used once per battle.
Requirements: User must be the Fleet Admiral and know Catching the Blade

Technique Name: Icicle Breath
Description: The user blows air out of their mouth, which when touching a small object, can freeze it.
Requirements: Hie Hie no Mi

Technique Name: Frost Weaponry
Description: The user can create different types of weapons from ice. These weapons cannot bend as they are ice. They are durable like regular weapons but melt after 3 posts.
Requirements: The user must have the Hie Hie no Mi and know Icicle Breath.

Technique Name: Flash Freeze
Description: The user puts his palm on the opponent making the part he touches freeze and unusable. This technique can only be used 3 times per battle.
Requirements: Hie Hie no Mi

Technique Name: Freeze Over
Description: The user emits ice through their hands or through touching the opponent. The ice covers the opponent's whole body, freezing them in place. The opponent can only live in the ice for 10 posts. This technique can only be used 1 time per battle.
Requirements: The user must have the Hie Hie no Mi and know Flash Freeze.

Technique Name: Ice Age
Description: This allows the user to place his palm on a body of water, even the sea, and turn it into ice. The user can then manipulate this ice. This technique can only be used 1 time per battle.
Requirements: The user must have the Hie Hie no Mi and know Flash Freeze.

Technique Name: Pika Pika Flash
Description: The user holds up their finger creating a bright blinding light. The user is not immune to this light. This will give the user a chance to escape. The attack can be avoided if the opponent closes their eyes.

Technique Name: Pika Pika Eight Span Mirror
Description: The user can create a rod of light, similar to that of a rainbow allowing them to travel on it.
Requirements: Pika Pika no Mi

Technique Name: Pika Pika Gathering Clouds of Heaven
Description: The user creates a sword out of pure light. If the user's spirit is higher than the opponents the opponent will not be able to block this. In the case that the opponent has more spirit this sword acts as a regular sword.
Requirements: Pika Pika no Mi

Technique Name: Pika Pika Halo Punch
Description: The user punches the air at the speed of light. The force behind this punch will literally cause the air around it to be fired at an alarming speed towards the direction of the punch. It looked like a halo being fired at an opponent.
Requirements: Pika Pika no Mi; User must have 40 speed or more

Technique Name: Pika Pika Mega Reflector
Description: The user forms a circle with their hands and create light it in. They shoot it out, it bounces off anything it hits creating a slight burn and a very blinding light along with it. It continues to bounce around until the user calls it off

Technique Name: Grounding Punch
Description: The user punches the opponent, smacking their entire body, which does not include the head, underground. The opponent is then a sitting duck.
Requirements: User must be an Admiral.

Technique Name: Garp Bite
Description: The user takes a massive bite out the opponent.
Requirements: User must be an Admiral.
Post Length: 6 posts

Technique Name: Garp Strength
Description: The user is able to grab and throw immensely large objects as well as block an incoming blunt object using pure strength. This can only be used twice per battle.
Requirements: The user must be an Admiral and know Grounding Punch.

Technique Name: Distraction!
Description: The user stabs themself or inflicts heavy damage in another manner so that they can be distracted. This can negate the power of the Mero Mero Fruit as well as Weapon Amnesia and Mental Block. This technique can only be used once per battle.
Requirements: Must be a Vice-Admiral or higher.

Technique Name: A Giant's Strength
Description: For a brief moment the user gains the strength of a Giant and is able to lift entire battle ships. This technique only lasts for one post and can only be used once per battle.
Requirements: Must be a Vice-Admiral or higher.

Technique Name: A Kind Heart
Description: The user's spirit increases +10. This increase lasts for 3 posts. This can only be used once per battle.
Requirements: Must be a Vice-Admiral or higher.

Technique Name: Ship Cutter
Description: A Blue Energy emits from a blade, as a projectile. This is able to cut through entire ships.
Requirements: Must be a Captain or higher. Must be a Swordsman

Technique Name: Right Angle Flash
Description:The user makes a right angle cut in the air with his sword, and then swings it, sending a rectangular cut forward. This makes a clean, rectangular cut on whatever it hits.
Requirements: Must know Ship Cutter

Technique Name: Right Angle Bouncing Cut
Description:The user slashes the air and propels a beam-shaped cut at the enemy. The cut is able to bounce off the air on a sharp angular turn

Technique Name: Sabi Sabi Rusty Blade
Description: By touching a sword the user can rust the blade there for making it useless for the entire battle.
Requirements: Must have the

Technique Name: Sabi Sabi Joint Rust
Description: The user is able to rust the arm of an opponent by touching it and keeping contact with it for a few seconds. The iron in the blood of the opponent will cause the skin to rust there for making the arm's joint's tight and constricted. The effects wear off after 3 posts. This technique can only be used twice per battle

Technique Name: Sabi Sabi Trap Door
Description: The user places their hand/hands on the floor causing it to weaken and rust around them. If on the higher level of a building or a ship this could become useful. The opponent will either, not be able to approach the user or break through the floor below damaging themselves

Technique Name: Sabi Sabi Rusty Statue
Description: The user touches the torso or legs of the opponent successfully rusting them in place with the floor. The user will not be able to move for 3 posts, but will still have their arms to defend themselves.

Technique Name: Beri Beri Separation
Description: The user makes all his/her body parts change into spheres and quickly makes them separate and float. This can avoid an attack but not a large one.
Requirements: User must have the Beri Beri no mi

Description: The user can make a specific body part change into a sphere and make it float away. This can avoid an attack to a specific area and leave the user a body to attack with.

Description: The user gains +20 speed stat point for 5 posts. This can only be used twice per battle.
Requirements: Shari Shari no Mi

Technique Name: Shari Shari Gyration
Description: The user can make any one part of their body become a wheel and spin at incredible speeds to block an incoming attack by meeting its force. This can stop any type of physical attack coming at that body part. This can only be used twice per battle and only if the user's speed is higher than the opponents.

Technique Name: Shari Shari Safe Drop
Description: The user can make any part of their body turn into a wheel to stop them from falling on the ground and becoming open for additional attacks. Instead they can hit the ground and move in a direction at an incredible speed without hesitation.

Technique Name: Shari Shari Strange Rotation
Description: The user can make their hands or feet become wheels and hit the opponent in any spot. By spinning the two hands in opposite directions it will create great friction on the opponents chest. This can lead to burning or cutting.

Technique Name: Ori Ori Hand Shackles
Description:The user swipes their hand through the opponent's body making a form fitting shackle around the area they hit.
Requirements: Ori Ori no Mi

Technique Name: Ori Ori Double Shackle
Description: Using acrobatic movements the use their hands and feet and strike two places on their opponent's body. Thus creating shackles on two separate part of their opponents body. Preferably their hands and their feet.

Technique Name: Ori Ori Ground Shackle
Description:The user kicks into their opponent's feet but instead of trapping the opponent's feet in shackles the user moves their leg through the ground as well. This will result in one of the opponent's feet being shackled to the ground.

Technique Name:Ori Ori Linking Shackle
Description:The user attacks both the opponent and themselves in one fluid motion successfully linking themselves and the opponent. This will keep the battle close.

Technique Name: Ori Ori Black Cage
Description: The user passes through their opponents entire body and then into the floor. This shackles all the opponent's limb and torso connecting it to the ground.
Requirements: Ori Ori no Mi

Description: The user gains the will of a Navy man, allowing them to show better performance in some situations.
Requirements: The user must be in the Navy.

Description: The user uses their bronze knuckles to smack their opponent.
Requirements: The user must be a Lieutenant and have bronze knuckles.

Description: The user uses their bronze knuckles to punch their opponent in the face, knocking them to the ground. This technique is really just a more powerful version of Iron Fist Smack.
Requirements: The user must be a Lieutenant, have bronze knuckles, and know Iron Fist Smack.

Description: The user uses their bronze knuckles to grab their opponent by their neck, squeezing it until their opponent passes out.
