
Falk's strong, and a good swimmer, yet he's terrified of the water. See, when he was a kip, his brother almost drowned, and it was very difficult for him to go near it for a while; he saw the water as an enemy. But he's gotten over that, unless other 'giets are being unsafe in the water, or kips are left unattended near it. Then his paranoid side comes out: While normally he's an easy-going, good-natured fellow, he becomes very sharp and gruff if he feels he needs to spring into action.
Mate Status: Single, and sort of looking. He's kind of romantic, and very protective. Ideally, he'd be in love with a female he'd helped save from the dangers of the water.
Looking For: Help with his Mag'Ud quest. Now, see, he isn't actively seeking Mag'Ud status, but it's just going to sort of 'come' to him.
I plan for it to go like this:
As Mag'Ud of Water Protection, Falkner would become an even stronger, faster swimmer. He would develop slightly webbed paws (not visible) and a nictitating membrane (transparent third eyelid) that would allow him to see underwater without hurting his eyes. His lungs would increase dramatically in size, allowing him to stay under longer. His supernatural power would be the ability to revive without fail those who have just recently drowned.
Then I've got some planned RPs:
1. The Entanglement (Flashback RP)
One day while left to themselves, Falkner and another kip or more wander down to the creek. While the others splash happily, Falkner broods... until somebody, gets into trouble as their paw is trapped in something. Falkner will dive in, not thinking, and drag the other kip out of there, ignoring his fear of the water.
2. Reflection (Flashback RP)
After the incident with the entanglement and entrapment, the creek is made shallower and wider, so that it's more of a pool in the place where the kips swim. Falkner still will not willingly swim, but insists on watching every time the others do. While watching, he spends a lot of time thinking about how dangerous the water is, and tries to explain to his siblings why he won't come in.
3. Water Sports (Flashback RP)
On an incredibly hot day, Falkner will end up going swimming without having to pull somebody out of the water. This will be right after he grows into literne. To his utter surprise, he'll realize that he sort of enjoys it.
4. The Waterfall
Deep within Torbu land, there's a small, wide waterfall and a deep, rocky pool that the Torbu children enjoy playing in unsupervised. Fiala is spending some time in Torbu land, most likely talking to Felix about their occupation of Torbu lands. Falkner wanted to go with her, and they're staying for a few days. While she stays in a spare den, he refuses to leave the waterfall pool because he's afraid that somebody will get hurt.
5. Ripples
(Don't know what this will be yet, other than an RP that happens as an adult and possibly involves a girl.)
6. The Kiddie Pool
Falkner returns to the waterfall pool to discuss with Darius/Felix/Torbu leadership the idea of making it safer. It will end up looking a lot like the kiddie pool at a certain water park in Southern Indiana, mostly because I came up with the idea while guarding the thing myself.
7. The Drowning
I plan for this to happen at Kora'Ta. As an adult, Falkner will be away from the pool, but will be called there when a kip gets hurt or stuck or something. He'll pull the kip out, only to discover that the kip isn't breathing and there's no heartbeat. CPR-like methods will ensue. After this, Falkner will meander over to the fire and pray for the ability to put breath back in the lungs of a drowned 'giet and to revive those he was too late to save.
Not Looking For: Enemies, Fights, stuff like that.
