Ghosts from Fatal Frame that are significant to the House itself Reika Kuze - the main ghost controlling all Handmaidens 4- Hisame Kuze, Amane Kuze, Shigure Kuze, Minamo Kuze Engravers 2- unnamed Kuze Family Yashuu Kuze, Kyouka Kuze, Amane Kuze Other ghosts that should be around: Carpenters Engraved Men Master Builder - Tengai Narumi Rituals to be Concerned with: Piercing of the Soul - Snake and Holly Tattoo Impalement Ritual Books/Scrolls/Items that could have crossed over: *to be added later* Notes: Need to keep some aspect of the horror game, the camera obscura is a key piece. If we don't use Rei, Miku or Kei (as they do all have one/use it to various points of the game) it should be given or found by one of the OVR crew. Important to note that they would end up with symptoms of overexposure so we need to keep that in mind for whoever find the camera. Unless it is Rei who primarily has it. If Maya will be one of the ones in the house, she will have a camera. Since the people who have gotten the camera in the game do have some spiritual power, it makes sense that Maya would find it in a way. The Camera obscura is key. Its one of those things we can't not have in it.

A note on my note... it almost seems like this is more than enough to have an RP on its own. XDDDD IT WILL BE VONDERFUL! >> lawl
Okay...more thoughts...
If there is going to be a system of battle, Bee suggested a dice system to do with it, though if we give the rules of the camera obscura, herbal medicine and spirit water (which could probably be created by anyone who's a spiritualist of some kind) and the finding of stone mirrors... it might not be too horrible as long as we all understand the rules... least I hope... D8
edits:
Herbal Medicine: Restores some 'strength'... could also be tied with sanity? Probably could be crafted by shrine maidens, priestesses...
Spirit Water: Full restore of 'strength'/sanity. Comes in cute little vials.
Stone Mirrors: Assuming they're like shiny rocks...that you can see your reflection into. Seems like it captures your reflection... and if you end up dying, it destroys itself, giving you back your life at the cost of its spirit power. These I doubt could be forged... they might contain the energy of people gathered that were in the place before it became... evil?

The current system I have has a relatively basic d20 setup with three ability scores. Players roll 1d20, while Ghosts roll 2d10. Ties are counted as "success" for the player. There are three measures of strength/sanity: Senses, Willpower, and Nerves. These abilities are used in both exploration and combat. Characters are free to distribute a small number of points (2 or 3) between these abilities at the outset, after which it cannot be changed. (All abilities have a base score of 1; this works out to a max of 3 or 4 pts in one ability) Senses is used for detection of ghosts and other supernatural energies that mark significant objects or areas in the Manor of Sleep. A Senses score of 0 means the character cannot focus on their environment, bewildered out of fear. Willpower is used for defending against direct attacks by ghosts, and can also be used in pushing them away, even without the use of charms or the Camera Obscura. It also helps navigate dangerous areas of the Manor of Sleep. A Willpower score of 0 means the character's spirit is lacking, paralyzed by fear. Nerves is used for performing physical tasks. This includes evading ghosts, helping comrades, or moving obstacles in the Manor of Sleep. A Nerves score of 0 means the character is exhausted, weakened by fear. Points are expended when performing "feats" associated with a particular ability, or when failing to defend or avoid a ghost's attack. Ghosts' attacks target specific abilities, and especially powerful ones can wipe out a single ability in one hit, or reduce multiple abilities at the same time. Defense against an attack adds the targeted ability's score to the player's roll, and in the case of multiple-ability attacks, only the highest score applies. If a character's abilities are all at 0 when they fail to defend or avoid a ghost's attack, they fall unconscious and disappear from the Manor of Sleep; they instinctively "reawaken" and return to the world of the living. A character ejected from the Manor of Sleep in this manner receives permanent damage in the form of a black tattoo spreading over their body. All points are restored during Waking hours, and all characters reenter the Manor of Sleep at full strength, according to their initial build. It may be best to keep the dice mechanics hidden from players; just let them worry about the RP actions.

Diary from Misty Fey 3 No...it can't be...she's using...Pearl...
Diary from Misty Fey 4 Its too late to change the plan...I'm sorry Maya, I hope Mia watches over you. I don't want to loose another child...
Paper Scrap found: They're both safe...
Red Butterfly Diary 1: How Dare She! How Dare That Woman Press My Affairs! My Plan Was Perfect! Nitpicking Small Tiny Insignificant Details... I'll Get HER. I Will DESTROY Her!
Red Butterfly Diary 3: Again!? That Woman, Mia. Again I've Been Beaten. But This Is Not The END. Even In Death I Will Have My RevenGe.
Red Butterfly Diary 2: Iris...YOU FOOL...She Had To Fall In Love...
Red Butterfly Diary 4: Even In Death I Fail? My HAtReD Knows NO Bounds. I WILL MAKE HER PAY. Her AND Her Sister
White Butterfly Diary 1: Feenie, my darling Feenie. Please...give me what I desire, and I'll be with you forever.
White Butterfly Diary 2: Sister, don't hate him. Just a little more time please... I need more time
White Butterfly Diary 3: What have you done?
White Butterfly Diary 4: I shall help my sister. Because I love her. Feenie, have you forgotten me?
White Butterfly Diary 5: I'm so sorry. I'm sorry Mother. I'm sorry sister. I'm sorry Feenie. I've failed you all. I've failed everyone.
--Newspaper articles probably could also be incorporated, the ones that deal with the crimes and such? o.o--
And all the capitalization and errors are in there on purpose and can be changed.

Losing and Restoring Senses, Willpower, NervesEven if you aren't hurt by Ghosts, exploring the Manor is costly. Cooperation is key! Encountering a Ghost:Ghosts make different attacks that target specific abilities. Roll 1d20 + targeted ability for total defense score vs 2d10. For powerful attacks that target multiple abilities, separate rolls are made for each targeted ability. One or more points is expended for failing to defend against, resist, or avoid a Ghost's attack. If all abilities reach zero, the character receives Game Over. One point is expended for performing an investigative or exploration "feat" associated with a particular ability. These do not require any rolls and are automatic successes. Some examples: Senses: closely examining an object; mapping the layout of a room; detecting the presence of ghosts; searching for useful items Willpower: resisting harsh cold or noxious air; surviving long falls and other traps Nerves: crossing unstable paths; moving objects or people; long jumps or high climbs; squeezing into small spaces
Feats With 0 Ability Score?: If a character attempts to perform a feat with an ability score of 0, they roll a 1d20 vs (2d10 or 5d4). No points are lost upon failure, but they cannot try again unless assisted by another character expending their own points. Healing?: Characters can "heal" others by expending a great number of points to restore a lesser number of points to another character. (2-for-1 or 3-for-2) Restorative items are very rare and are usually "rewards" for solo exploration. Herbs: Restores 1 point to Senses. Water: Restores 1 point to Willpower. Stone Mirror?: If a character receives Game Over while holding this, they are restored to 1-1-1. Stone Mirrors cannot be "used" on other characters. There may be other items or situations that can be of benefit to particular characters while harming others. (Saw, anyone?)

Notes on Sleeping: Since the Manor of Sleep exists as a place of sleeping, one aspect to keep in mind is that as the tattoo grows on their body, they have a desire to sleep more often, are found singing odd songs "The Priestess Song" for example, etc.

Broken Butterfly Diary 3: Far away from them is the safest I've ever felt. Far away from everything and everyone, where I can take care of just myself. I'm tired.
Broken Butterfly Diary 4: Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone Alone Alone alone alone alone alonealonealonealonealonealone...
Broken Butterfly Diary 5: I looked at her and I tried. I swear I tried. I just couldn't. It didn't come. It didn't happen. What have I been looking for all this time? It just. Didn't. I just. Can't. I can't. I CAN'T. WHY

STORY ELEMENTS Because this scenario currently lacks characters and backgrounds that directly parallel the plot of Fatal Frame 3, it may be necessary to craft a new, unique scenario that fits the needs and established lore of the OVERRULED! group. = = = What We Need to Know = = =Miles Edgeworth is a likely candidate for instigating the Manor of Sleep reaching into the living world, given his memories of his father and the DL-6 incident. If he continues to dream about the event or his father, and feels regret for surviving the incident, he is perfectly able to enter the Manor of Sleep through his dreams and bring other characters into it. Maya Fey and Pearl Fey have spiritual powers that make them likely candidates for taking up the "main hero" role in operating the Camera Obscura. It may be introduced as part of the Fey family inheritance and other belongings passed on to the girls following the deaths of Misty and Morgan. = = = Fatal Frame 3 Notes = = =The Camera Obscura was inherited by the heroine, Rei, from her dead fiancee, who had received it from a friend for his paranormal research. Although it is broken, it carries over into the Manor of Sleep and even retains the photographs taken while in the dream-world. Other trapped victims in the Manor of Sleep may be encountered in both the waking world and the dream-world (indeed, the player characters themselves are in this situation themselves). Some characters might be rescued, while most suffer the full breadth of the Tattooed Curse and become ghosts themselves.

The Camera Obscura The Camera Obscura, when used by a character with sufficient spiritual power, allows the character to make a 1d20+1d10 attack against a Ghost's 2d10 defense. There are no modifiers from SWN.
Depending on an individual Ghost's strength, it may take several shots to capture or defeat it.
Strong Ghosts Exceptionally strong Ghosts roll 3d10 for their attack and defense rolls.
Blue Lanterns Blue Lanterns act as "save points" throughout the Manor. Once a character discovers a Blue Lantern, that character can enter and exit the Manor safely at that point without incurring permanent damage/tattoos. Exiting the Manor through a Blue Lantern ends that character's dream for the night, and they cannot reenter until the next time they fall asleep.
TLDR: NO WARPING, ITS NOT LIKE YOU CAN TAKE CATNAPS AND POP IN AND OUT ALL OVER THE GOD DAMN PLACE
Progress and Puzzles Puzzles do not reset once they have been solved. As characters explore the Manor, they open up more parts to investigate and spend less points for moving around.
Certain physical obstacles should have ways of being circumvented as well.

Possible other diaries, other notes that this mun made:
Incuritis Child: Green Diary: Someone save me. Someone help me. Save me save me save me save me
Dark Note 1 (Joe Darke) Cause them pain. MaKe ThEm FeEl
Dark Note 2 I won't let them get away
They won't catch me
Neil Marshal? Leather bound Notebook 1: Is Ema okay?
Leather bound Notebook 2 It hurts. Why did you kill me? Why did you kill me? Why do you kill?
Leatherbound Notebook 3: I thought you were a friend...
FF 3 Ghosts: -Ones with No big tie to Reika- Mother and Daughter Crawling Woman Woman who survived the plane crash
* Mio can draw another into the house of sleep. That person will sometimes have a guide, Mayu, who only appears as a red butterfly? -Solo only or with group?
---Reika follow person around most often? Be wandering around most?
Important item: Echo Stone Earring If they find it... Reika will not kill them? Doesn't prevent them from being killed/exited out of the manor or put into a sleep, but prevents them from completely disappearing to the abyss but they cannot beat the final boss?
Lotta = Important. -She has a place to develop photographs...doesn't necesarily need to be in the house, but old film needs to be developed.
Maps - Lower Passage - ALl of it, Kuze shrine - all ov it.. .I thinK? INner sanctum included.
5 Pieces of the mirror of loss- Reikas Regrets and Attachment to the world. Needed for the end... don't need to be collected by the same person? Or yes?
Tattoo- Its a Snake and HOlly Tattoo. Starts on the shoulder and slowly spreads down the back (how it appears in the game). No known way to remove the tattoo...

Suggestions for Reika herself: She typically wanders the halls only during the Mio/Kei scenarios (as Kei has the hide sequence), or at least that's her most common wandering time. I'd say she is more likely to wander around the area an individual is than a group. The first time people are in the Manor of Sleep is usually when she first touches them. (For Rei it took until the second time). Once a person is touched, they are cursed with the Tattoo of the Holly and the Snake. This Tattoo: The Holly Represents pain of love over those who have died and pains of the heart. It is the final pattern tattooed over a victim's eyes before they are consumed by the snake. The snake is more sinister, symbolic of love and the emotions towards the dead that can eventually consume the individual overwhelmed by those feelings. Here is a more detailed explanation. Here is information about the Curse itself, including symptomsObviously we might extend the date, of 1-2 months to more, as we're doing a different system of the game for the Tattoo spreading, right? That and it sets an unfair time frame (I think) to people who can't be on as often or if something comes up and a person can't get on for a while. An individual who has not experienced the above can be afflicted if they already personally know someone under the curse and that cursed person dreams about them. Bolding this as it is important to know how others can 'accidentally' be drawn into the Manor of Sleep. If everything connects, there are people who could be drawn into the Manor unintentionally, whether they want to or not. (Permission as per the thread rules must be obtained of course)

Gaming Sessions Due to the nature of the game and the schedules of players, it will probably be necessary to explore the Manor in regular "sessions" rather than have it be readily accessible at all times. Investigations in the world outside the Manor can continue throughout the days between these sessions.

Orange Audio Diary 1 She's, like, always so tired when she gets off of workâif she gets off from work. Those long shifts will be the death of her, like, figuratively speaking.
Orange Audio Diary 2 I'm no good at, like, reports. I keep falling asleep in the library and I, like, have to keep getting rides back home late at night from my sis.
Orange Audio Diary 3 (The voice on this recording is slightly different from the others) I am Ini Miney... I am Ini Miney. I am Ini Miney... I am... Ini Miney. I... am Ini Miney. I am Ini Miney... I am... Ini... Miney...

Ribbon Notebook If I was someone else, I wouldn't have left. I guess that's why I have the clock. I can't believe he to put this together on his own. He even made the voice recordings... I'll always have his voice with me... I wish I could talk to him again, but it's too late to call him now. The only thing he'll ask is "Why?" I don't think I could take it. Just try to forget and move on, like the rest of them. Just try, at least.
