My life changed when I discovered the food net work just a couple of years ago, I wanted to start a thread about what shows you guys like.
I personally love Iron Chef, Food net work Challenge, Ace of Cakes, and almost any other baking or a challenge show.
My favorite people on the net work is of course Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, Duff, and manyy more. I also personally HATE Rachel Ray, and Paula Dean (btw Paula Dean isn't from the south she's from cali and her accent is fake! I hope she chokes on her butter fetish.)

Anthony Bourdain from No reservation.
He aproaches the cultural aspect of food which always has facinated me.
And ready steady cook, as my bf enjoys that one.

My favorite chef and hero would have to me Gourdan Ramsy I love his shows Kichten Nightmares, The F Word and I can't remember the last one hmmmm, but yes I hate Racheal Ray she knows noting about true cooking sure anyone can learn how to cook but does she have the devotion, love and compation to cook no no she don't now Chef Ramsy does even on his shows is shows are there to inspire ppl but Racheal Ray eerr just compare them and you'll see the difference.

Rachel Ray is merely a face. If it wasn't for several (I assume several) talented chefs that create her recipes she wouldn't have anything.

I'm actually not that much of a fan of the Food Network.
I'm fine watching Dinner Impossible and Anthony Bourdain.
Everyone else I don't care much for.
Oh and the original Iron Chef.

Yay I'm not the only one who hates Rachel Ray! She has such a huge mouth and I hate how loud she freaking talks, it's liek she thinks her viewers are deaf. I've put my volume down to 2 before and it was still like she was yelling at me. Ugh. Another one I'm not particularly fond of is Ricardo. He also annoys me.
But I love Iron Chef, both original and American. I like Ramsey, he is an amazing chef and a very inspirational teacher. ^w^ There are a few more that i like I just can't remember them right now lol.

yay people resounded lol I'm used to people not doing that at this point on gaia ; _ ;. I also wanted to see that new show about the black guy who helps out unprivileged teens cuz I know that I think that's wicked true to life that you can turn your life around with something like becoming a chef. I think i Missed the whole season

Ok i don't know who these 5 ppl are tht like racheal ray but you need to get your brain checked, cuz shes loud and she steals other ppls recipes and she doesn't have any soul to cooking, and shes to commercial and shes not a cook. She just cooks from a gawd damn book, anyone can do that if they have practiced a little bit she doesn't care about food she just wants money and ratings, Gordon James Ramsy is a real chef cooks without a book, and cares aobut the food and the cooks he helps hes like a Cook/Counsler. Racheal Ray is a no good, wanna be prep cook that is macking a mockery of cooking you ppl tht voted yes to likeing racheal ray you should hang your heads in shame. neutral

I used to watch Food Network a lot, but only for "in the kitchen" shows and occasionally the original Iron Chef. I wish they had an in the kitchen show that specializes in Asian cuisine.
Honestly I'm not fond of hardly any of them, but I suppose I like Giada's recipes; most of them are nice and simple but still seem like they've got some flavor. I like her appetizers.

I agree with you.. Paula Dean.. ugh.
Anyways, my work was featured on a episode of Food Jammers a few months back. It was so funny.. they were learning about bread making. Anyways, they had like 30 people in our kitchen.. it was so hard to concentrate on lunch service.
And, the Chinese? guy looked/acted like he was drunk. Haha!
