Most people think that it was either Black Sabbath Or Led Zeppelin who invented or started metal.
Who do you think?
And who do you think is better??
If you think it was someone else laid the foundation for metal, tell us.

I personally think that Black Sabbath invented Metal. I also would rather listen to Black Sabbath any day.

Yeah. I agree.
I like Black Sabbath more, because Black Sabbath is darker than Led Zeppelin and all that jazz.

Josh Kimbble they both suck pretty bad, the beatles invented metal Interesting. I can see why you say that. They really are talented musicians. John Lennon is great at writing lyrics, and their songs are always well-arranged.

The first recorded use of heavy metal in a song lyric is the phrase "heavy metal thunder" in the 1968 Steppenwolf song "Born To Be Wild"
Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Blue Öyster Cult and Black Sabbath all started singing the 'Traditional metal' music around the same time two years later. Now personally, I like the Blue Öyster Cult best.
