Liki sat in her seat near the back of the room and leaned to the right, her head slumped in her hand. She looked at the clock ticking endlessly on the wall, and blinked watching the minute hand slowly click by. The young girl knew she was tremendously early, yet she was ready to go, she wasn't even a little tired, just bored. Standing up she walked down the small amount of stairs to where the long streaching green chalkboard was. In her hand she held a white stick and pressed it against the green chalkboard and began to draw. Liki was a little bit of an artist, but not greatly, at the moment she seemed to be drawing some kind of bird. Once finished with her drawing she lifted her now half white stick off from the chalkbord and looked at the drawing. Her eyes dulled, and she quickly took her hand swiping the bird off the board quickly and stood there looking at the now empty spot.

Kobi walked down the hallway of the school with a tired look on his face. 'Man, why did my sisters have to wake me up so early. It's not like I take two hours to get ready like them. Oh well, atleast this means I'll get a seat in the back corner so I can sleep during class.'he thought with a yawn before finally reaching his class. After a few failed attempts at grabbing the handle of the door, he finally took hold of it and slid the door open. Once inside, he saw one of his classmates, Liki, standing at the chalkboard and he let out a yawn before smiling and saying,"Good mourning Liki. Why are you here so early?"

Liki jumped a little dropping the piece of chalk on the floor, she had forgotten where she was being wrapped up in a memory. She quickly scrambled to pick up the now broken chalk and put it back in it's place next to the chalkboard. She then turned back twoards Kobi a bit embarassed, "Hehe, good morning, oh you know I had nothing to do..and well I get up early every morning." Her smile was a bit fake but her eyes twinkled yet again and she looked believeable, "Why are you here?" she questioned him back turning back the almost gone drawing erasing the last traces of what was still there.

"Oh uhhh yeah....that makes sense."Kobi said, feeling a little embarrassed at the way she reacted and rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down at the floor. He then heard her question and looked up at her before replying,"Oh ummm...well my sisters woke me up about two hours ago while they were getting ready but they told me to get out of the house so i didn't get in the way so I decided to come here."

Liki smiled some hearing his story of why he was also here early, "Im a bit jealous of you," she said glancing across the room narrowing her eyes at where her bag was sitting, "you have someone living with you to keep you company, all I have is my cat...which.." she walked across the room slowly to her bag picking it up, "shouldn't follow me here..." she quickly turned it upside down pouring out the contents along with a little black cat. The black cat looked up at Liki with a guilty look on it's face, Liki grumbled at the cat, "Yeah I'd make that face too..." she picked the cat up by it's scruff and held it up walking twoards the door.

"I'm sure my sisters would be glad to have you instead of me."Kobi said with a sigh. He then saw her carring the cat that had just spilled out of her bag towards the door and said,"Hold on. you don't have to make her leave."

Liki stopped at the door at looked over at Kobi a little surprised that he'd even care for the cat, which at this moment quickly scrambled out of Liki's grasp and sprinted across the room twoards Kobi and hid behind him. The brown hair girl made a face of annoyance twoards that cat which said 'Yet again you win' and surprising the cat stuck it's tounge out. though this wasn't weird to Liki and she kept up on the conversation, "Why would you think that your sisters would like to have me over you?" she questioned going back over to her bag and putting her materials back in"

Kobi squatted down and stroaked the cat's back before looking up at Liki and saying with a sigh,"Well, they do make me sleep in the backyard when mom's gone on a mission. They also think its fun to stick me to the wall with Kunia's." He then picked up her cat gently and stood up as he said,"but I only have to deal with them for a few more years hopefully."

Liki looked back at him with a sympathetic look on her face then quickly looked back at her stuff quickly picking it up then setting it on her seat. She walked down the stairs and began to talk again, "What will happen in the next few years?" she said swinging herself around on the front row and crouching down at it never removing her eyes from her cat.

Kobi smiled and said,"Well after I graduate from the academy, I'm going to save up my money I get from missions and buy my own apartment." He then let out a sigh of relief and said,"It would be nice to sleep in every now and then. I'd also like to not have to wait forty minutes to get to use the bathroom." After setting her cat down on a table, he looked back at Liki and continued,"But I do have other goals."

Liki sat there for a littlw bit mostly thinking to herself about things. She never realised how much it must cost to actually get an apartment, since her parents had rented it for her and also payed the bills, but she figured they were just trying to help her out. She came back to reality and laid down slowly on her side, "What are your other goals?" she said tipping her head to the side some.

Kobi reached into his pocket and pulled out an old, rusted and scratched up headband. He held it out so that he could see his reflection in it and looked up at Liki as he said,"I want to be a great shinobi, just like my dad. He was amazing." He then let out a sigh and looked back down at the headband as he said,"This is the only thing I have to remember him. He actually died seven months after I was born but my mom always said that he was so happy to have a son. I guess I was a bit of a change after four girls."

Liki looked at him feeling sad for him, "A few years back, it was like I suddenly woke up at nine years old. I can't remember anything before that, my parents say that I hit my head on a river rock when I jumped into the water one day. My parents don't want me to become a shinobi, but since I insisted they sent me to Konoha in an apartment by myself..it's like their afriad of me becoming a shinobi..." she looked down at Shika, or the little black cat, "At least you have people around you that aren't trying to keep you from what you want to do..." she looked away recalling apinful memories.

After putting the headband into his pocket, he walked over to Liki and put his hand on her shoulder as he said with a smile,"Well I guess we're both in the same boat then. Everyone in the village thinks I'm the failure of the Haru clan but I'm gonna prove them wrong. So lets promise each other that we'll both become great shinobi and prove everyone wrong." He then stuck out his hand and asked,'Is it a deal?"
