What are your opinions on this current event?
I feel that Isreal maybe overreacting too much to their (Palestinien) terrorist bombings. You don't kill your own aid (bombing of U.N. convoy) and you dont involve children, there is no plausible reason why a 10 yr old should have his face burned off and blinded.

My opinion is that this thread belongs in the 'Recent World Events' sub-forum. But, since I can't move it, I'll go along.
I'm 100% at Israel's side in this conflict. The palestinians had it coming, if you ask me. Civilians are not supposed to be armed, be it AK's or bombs. There's no stopping them, and the ******** idiots just keeps blowing up busses and cars and whatnot. And now, they even went as far as to actually VOTE for an outspoken terrorist organization to run their government. Isreal has a tight military, professional soldiers and capable leaders. Sure, they might ******** up and bomb a hospital or something, but what the hell, thousands of civilians were killed by US troops in Iraq. War is, simply, hell on Earth. Either way, I believe Isreal did the 'right' thing. If palestinians keep on coming into their country and blow people up with their suicide bombs, they can't very well ignore it. Better to take care of the problem once and for all. Inhumane, maybe, but that's war. I mean, you know that a country is in some serious need of reform when anybody can simply strap a bomb across his stomach, sneak into the neighboring country, and blow himself up in a crowd.

I thought whenever palestines would bomb isreal, wouldnt isreal usually respond?

Kaz-Balan The a$$holes ruling Israel have oppressed Palestinians for decades, up to the point the Gaza situation was terribly resembling the Warsaw ghetto under the nazi boots. Israelian soldiers are now slaughtering Palestinians in the Gaza strip, in order to allow the Kadima$$holes destroying once and for all the "Palestine state" political option. The cost in civilian lives is HUGE... ...but not as huge as the international DISGUST it triggers.
As for Hamas, EVEN such a military rage... ...will NEVER destroy it. But who is most of the disgust towards, Isreal's mistakes or Hamas' actions?

Quote: ...for there's NO other word when killing hundreds of civilians with bombs to retaliate for a few people who died under "rockets". Civilains die in war, that's just the way it is. Sad, but unchangeable. The palestinians voted for a terrorist organiation to be their government. The israelian government has to think about their own country and citizens. When their neighboring country is suddenly taken over by an outspoken terrorist organization whose primary agenda is the destruction of the State of Isreal, there's simply no way Isreal could NOT react. Palestinian organizations has throughout the decades hijacked airplanes, kidnapped israelians, and detonated explosives in the middle of Isreal. Suicide bombs, planted bombs, car bombs. Guerilla warfare against non-military targets. Random acts of violence like that is the worst kind, because thousands of people die, and nothing is accomplished. At least Isreal has a plan when they invade Palestina.

Kaz-Balan War? Noooope... It was just a Counter-Strike session with each anti-terrorist owning a bomb able to explode a part of the map, a map FILLED with hostages, and terrorists with pitiful weapons but able to shape-change into any hostage at will. And since, even with FAR MORE anti-terrorists than terrorists, the latter STILL exist and go into action, and since the body count among hostages gets huge... ...everyone around boos the player with the anti-terrorist force. I have to admit I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say... But I'm okay with that, heh.
