The day was warm, for winter, and the sun blazed in through the broken blinds. Artemis sighed as she listened to the teacher with half an ear. It was a wonderful December day, and she wanted to go sledding instead of being stuck in fourth period Literature.
"Now, you need at least 10 new rough essay topics, fully fleshed out, and four of them have to be polished to finals. I want all of this done the Friday after Christmas break. Make sure to write it down in your planners everyone!" Teacher reminded the class.
Artemis dutifully pulled out the planner everyone was given on the first day of classes and scribbled the due date into the correct box, four pages away. She knew she wouldn't look at it again, but it would keep Teacher happy with her.
Teacher continued talking, but since all important things had already been said, Artemis ignored her in favor of planning a sledding expedition for after school.
----------Three weeks later
Three weeks later, to the day, found Artemis panicking in her room. She frantically wrote essay after essay in the hopes to have A level work done by 8 in the morning tomorrow. She flipped from window to window, trying to finish a research paper, her essays, a math review, and also pay attention to several friends she had not spoken to in a week. Running up and down the stairs occasionally to find another paper she needed, one thought ran through her head, 'Procrastination sucks!!'
DC-Can it be resurrected...?
