Felt like goofing off and wanted to create a new guild feature... Draconian Spotlight. I'll upload new articles most will probably be a few large paragraphs at most but it'll provide all visitors and members with updated mythos in regard to Draconia itself, it's military, and the people of this Star Nation in general.

Draconia was born on First Gaia on May 27th 15 BG (Before destruction of First Gaia) to humble farmers. Even when he was young Draconia showed great aptitude for piloting a skill that would come in handy later in his life. As the pograms of Grand Senator Joseph Magus wreaked havoc on his parent's financial assets they decided to send the boy off to the Academy of Gadalya where he quickly learned how to pilot miltary ships. When he arrived at the academy he was 16 years old and 2 years younger then the minimal required age however he was accepted in and thrown into a junior training class for transport pilots. Draconia quickly became a distinguished pilot capable of piloting the then modern Isis class transport through the Maw of Hell, a region of space occupied by four black holes in close proximity to each other, in less then ten hours. This caused the academy teachers to take notice of the young pilot.

When Draconia was 22 he was drafted into a early mobilization of the Atlas Striders. A training class that was geared towards flying large warships. He started as a lowly spaceman and rose through the ranks to the position of Captain finally gaining control of his own personal warship. Now 30 Draconia left the academy and a promising career in the military where he became a outspoken politician of small standing. It was during this phase of his life that he embraced the notion of religion, a long dead social institution from Old Earth. Careful to keep it to himself he continued his political career he married his wife, Carima Draconia, and had two children both sons. At this point he was 33 and celebrating his success so far. However a war broke out between the newly reformed Star Empire of Gaia and a unknown coalition of military forces of non Gaian origin. The war was quick and brutal and the Star Empire ceased to be. Shortly before First Gaia itself was destroyed Draconia gathered his family, and as many survivors that could make it to his ship, which had since been transformed into a colonization ship and mothballed. Draconia's vessel, Marienkind, left First Gaia with twelve other colony ships. They all traveled together with the intent of escaping their pursuers and settling far away in another part of the Milky Way. However when they jumped into a system on the edge of the galaxy they were surprised by a uncharted black hole.

The marienkind and the other ships activated their emergency Sub Space drives and made a quick jump. Somehow the immense gravitational forces of the black hole disturbed their jumps and they lost contact with each other. Draconia found himself in a uncharted region of space quickly approaching a planet similar to Mars from the Sol system. Draconia did his best to avoid a crash landing and the ship was horribly damaged in the landing process. Unfit to fly, the ship was permanently out of commission, Draconia emerged from the ruined vessel and squared his shoulders for the task ahead. He first looked at the star map data logged on his ship and found no star formations that were familiar. Then he looked for nearby galaxies that the computer recognized. He was shocked to see the Milky Way itself was picked up and judging from this realized he was no long within it. Draconia, after thinking it over, felt that there was no other alternative but to settle the harsh planet he crashed on. Leading his people he established the colony of New Hope on what is believed today to be Delta Draconis IV in the Delta Draconis system. Draconia led the people of Delta Draconis into nearby systems eventually becoming the first president of the Colonial Alliance and the people of the Alliance proclaiming themselves to be the Sons of Draconia or Draconians. Thus the nation of Draconis was born and Draconia himself led the fledgling democracy as it blossomed to over thirteen systems. Draconia fought many wars against alien species and what is suspected as the first battles against Chaos itself. Anchoring himself in the belief of the tenets of Yevon he unexpectedly founded a new religion when he shared his beliefs with his family.

Draconia died at the age of 187 having did his best to ensure the Colonial Alliance of Draconia would survive his death, which it did. Some 60,000 years later the Church of Yevon and it's ruling Maester Council proclaimed Draconia a High Summoner and honored his memory by inducting him to the Hall of Eternity. He also would be honored by the Senate of the later Draconian Republic and the Emperors of the current Draconis Empire as he symbolized everything they considered were the virtues of a true Draconian. In the current military he is further honored by having the Draconian Cross named after him. It is a award given to generals or admirals who show great aptitude for command leadership by using new, unconventional tactics to overcome problems and for thinking outside the box.
