I have come into owning a shiny ditto.
Heres the story:
once apon a time in the glorious region of Hoenn...
Lived a nerd hunting for fossils, his nice little brother gave me a TM for dig.
I walked into the Tunnel. KOed a few Whismers and boring dittos.
I had been in there before but i was training my Shiny Lairon, named rune.
I saw before me something that shivered my very spine. A shiny ditto!
after a 50 minuet fight and total waste of revives ( weak team at the time)
i captured the lil' bugger!
i later on exported it to my pearl. I used it for breeding and now with a thrill of excitement...
The egg hatched into a shiny pokemon aswell!
I tried this several more times.
According to the data i gathered....
every 5 to 6 eggs were shiny pokemon.
So all you hunters better aim your eyes for a shiny ditto.
( also note that this was on pearl, i let my brother barrow it on daimond
and it took 12-17 eggs to be a shiny)
i don't know if this is luck, a glitch or an in-game secret.
all i know is i now have many rare shiny pokemon.
