Yields about 2 liters of meatballs and sauce combined. Meatballs 1.5 lbs ground beef ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed croutons 2 eggs ⅓ cup onions , finely diced, grated, or puréed ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated 2 tsp garlic, minced 2 tsp thyme, sage and/or rosemary Salt & Pepper to taste
Sauce 12 oz beer (your preferred label) 1 ½ cups tomato sauce 1 cup ketchup ½ cup BBQ sauce 2 tbsp tomato paste ½ cup brown sugar Tabasco sauce to taste
-Preheat oven to 400º, line a baking pan with tinfoil and grease with a little oil. -Thoroughly mix all meatball ingredients together and shape into 1” balls. -Place meatballs on baking pan and brown for about 10 minutes in the oven. -Combine all sauce ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. -Add meatballs and any drippings to the sauce. Reduce heat and cover. -Simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve on a bed of rice, over pasta with extra tomato sauce or as sandwich filler for a more complete meal.

I ate it for supper :p It's tasty enough. I find it could use a good dose of cajun spice or chipotle. A good ale or stout adds a lot more flavour than lager, in my opinion.
