How long have you been playing the bassoon? I've been playing for not even nine months now, and I love it. I switched over from playing clarinet for three years.

I've played bassoon for 8 years now, and I've loved every minute of it. Unfortunately I just had my wisdom teeth out, so I haven't been able to play the past week - it's been killing me.

Ive played since 7th grade and gotten into really good orchestra's
Im currently in CYMO (claremont young musicians orchestra) and they work with the L.A. phil! The bassoonists there are amazing! I've gotten taught by a few professional bassoonists from the L.A. phil and some not lol. But still orchestra is really fun! I really enjoy it

Well I don't feel to much like a newbie to the bassoon here, I guess. XD
I started in November of 2006. So that's a little over two years now. This was pretty much in the middle of my senior year. But I didn't start playing in an ensemble until fall of 2007, because my high school concert band experience was really no fun, and my band director did not really like me.
Before bassoon I played trumpet in band. It's the only instrument I played in band, although I learned clarinet outside of band a little bit, and I wanted to learn alto saxophone, but I didn't get too far because the saxophone I have is broken. -_- (the whole octave key thing is missing!)

I switched to bassoon from horn at the midterm of my Junior year, so I've played it for two years at this point. 3nodding
