Club Jigoku, or Club Hell was one of the newest clubs in Durem. Aptly named as the entry way to the club was underground down a flight of stairs leading to a tunnel to the entrance of the main floor. The club was quite successful, run by a publicly known incubus. It attracted many of the nightlife both normal and of the paranormal variety. From rave kids to the occasional adventurous salaryman after a long day of work. The place never seemed to see a slow night.

Donovan was one of the many employees of the supernatural crowd here. The owner had been particularly picky about who he hired to staff, picking people aesthetically pleasing to different tastes so as to attract a wide range of customers. Don, like most of the employees served drinks, kept an eye on people and helped break the ice by conversing with patrons and making sure everyone was having a good time. It payed well and tips were pretty sweet Especially when the owner made enough money where his employees could keep whatever tips they got 100%.

Tonight however, Don wasn't an employee. He was a patron. After a couple months of working pretty heavily involved in the Animated problems it was time to have that second date he'd promised. Though this one wasn't quite what was planned, it would be more fun than intimate. Don had reserved one of the VIP areas that had a karaoke machine. It was time for some perhaps drunken fun.

Tonight, they Karaoke'd in hell.

The club was it's usual busy self this night. The DJ spun a new tune that had an almost hypnotic rhythm to it and the crowd seemed to be eating it up. Multi-colored lights strobe around bodies moving to the music in various forms. A succubus dressed to kill gyrated seductively inside one of the club's cages suspended over the dance floor. Of course the inside of the club itself had an almost hellish feel to it to match it's name and entryway.

The anima wasn't going to be evaded that easily. Let it follow or it'd burrow again.

"All right then, another time," she said. She seemed... content with that answer, but didn't stop the curiosity of wanting to ask what 'role-playing' entailed. Later, she'd ask later.

She enjoyed the whole walk to the club, it was such a pretty night. When they got to the club, Chris gripped his hand and smiled. "I can feel it here..." Her eyes closed a moment and she started humming something. For a few seconds then she twirled around with a wide smile on her face. "I feel so alive!" She started laughing. Away from the office, free of the suppression of magic...she could feel it, the magic, the music. The song...there was a song and she could feel it.

"Hee, I'm ready for anything now Sir Donovan!" She pumped a fist into the air excitedly. "Wow...that's a long line. Lots of people." eek

And to keep said people in line and acting orderly was a rather large devil dressed in a tailored suit. His dark hair was tastefully kept in a ponytail behind him and his large curved horns looked nice and preened. As he was letting people in he spied Donovan and the two exchanged a nod before Donovan led them to the side near the employee entrance. "We're going in through here. Much easier and less a line." He would open the door to what appeared to be an entrance behind dressing rooms.

People would pass by in various costumes. One even passed by in a wench's dress. Don seemed to pause for a momemt before continuing on to open another door for her where she could already see the flashing lights and loud music that permeated the place.

"Whoa." Her eyes were rather large. Devils and demons in one place? Holy ******** on a ******** stick with a side of ********! "Ah, okay." She followed behind Sir Donovan, keeping fairly close.

She looked at all the costumes, her eyes trying to take it all in. Hey, wench's outfit. o.o Flashing lights and music. "You're right, its like the other place...but a lot more... flashing lights! Wow... there's a lot of energy here."

"Uh-huh, when this place is going like this it's a sight to see." he said, helping her up a set of steps near the entrance they just came out of. As they ascended to a balcony it gave them a great view of the danc floor below. Just beyond it was a stage and near the stage were a few hanging cages. Inside the bars of the cages dancers could be seen doing just the same within the confines. "Do you feel the energy of this place?" He said equally enjoying the sight of what had to be a sea of club-goers dancing to the music inside of this spacious club.

From some distance away in what appeared to be another cage, though this one closer to the floor Jezebell stood inside and was currently spinning the music for the crowd. She appeared in her own little world with her headphones on watching over the crowd and making sure every song was the right one for the feel of the crowd. Right now she was playing a heavy industrial number who's beat seemed to pulse throughout the club. She happened to look up and see the couple and gave them a wave before she went back to work.

Chris looked out among the crowd, trying to take in as much as she could about this place. So much was going on that her brain had to start wrapping around. Cages? Interesting. People were like... dancing inside of them...and they didn't really look miserable! Like they weren't even captive, just having fun. "I can feel some of it...its not like anything I've ever heard before."

She barely noticed Lady Jezebell in time and waved back to her, excited that she saw someone else that she knew. It made her feel less out of place, though with Sir Donovan right next to her, it made it hard for her to feel very uncomfortable with anything.

The fact that the acge dancers weren't captive exactly would be emphasized by one of them pressing a button on the inside and the cage lowered and the door opened once it came to a stop on the floor. "Sometimes, I can feed a little on the audience. All the pleasure of letting go to the beat and rhythm of the music is quite a heady energy though. Especially in large doses as this." He chuckled, shaking his head. "First time I did it. I got a little too much and got so drunk from it I could barely see straight. Certain energies to us are a bit more potent than others. Some a little too potent and we can get drunk from it. About the only thing we can get a buzz of of anyway." he said grinning.

"Really? So..." The wheels in her head turned and she bit her lip and her nose started to bleed a little. Where was her mind? "So some energies are more potent than others, I see... So this is how you've been feeding... 'cause of me...and my inexperience... yeah..." She took out a tissue and wiped the blood away.

"Is it really the only thing you can get drunk from?" she asked. Could he get drunk off of her energy? >> She had a lot of it after all. Or something. "So...that means... you can't get drunk of off alcohol?" No fun, she was going to be the only wasted one? XD Or was she? rofl

"I can get drunk off of alcohol, but it takes a lot. It would probably be easier for me to get drunk off of errant energy like this than alcohol." He said rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Seemed like he'd thought about this before. "Having a natural resistance to poisons and toxins kind of sucks in that aspect." He seemed to think about something for a while looking into the crowd before he turned to her. "This might sound strange, but do you notice the office feels... weird. Like it's suppressing something inside? Considering I never use my powers in the office I hadn't really felt it until now."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 14, 2009 10:40 pm

"Ahhh, I see," she said. "Well, I'd consider having resistances to poisons and toxins a very good thing...and all the more ale that can be drunken!" She shifted on her feet a little, and gripped his hand as he brought up the next topic. "Yes...I've stopped...stopped really being able to feel the magic...the music in the office..." There was a sniffle. "I was trying that one night...trying so hard. I can sing...and play well enough... but I can't feel it like I used to." She shook her head, trying not to let herself get depressed by that. "I mean... err..." It was hard to cover it up...least around him.

"Used your powers?" she asked. "What do you have?" Now this she was curious about, on what he could do. Hurr hurr hurr.

Oh yeah, the Anima was there, watching. Always watching.

"Not much really. Aside from the ability to read auras and bring out lust. Most of my demon powers are more... passive, in that I don't have to activate them. They're constantly on. And my athleticism isn't a power so the office really doesn't do too much to me. I just can't pull much in the office."He looked as if he was in thought about it. Would probably investigate it later, but for now he had other things on his mind. "But that's enough shop talk. Let's have some fun." He looked around eventually finding an alcove and began to lead the two of them there, but first it was time to stop at the bar for a little bit to drink.

Donovan would allow Chris to take a seat first and then him after. When the barkeep turned around he greeted the two of them and told Donovan that his reservation was still active and pointed to it. It looked very much like the private box of an opera, but with modern touches that matched the theme of the club with it's dark crimsons and black material on it's cushions and on the table.

Bring out lust...well, that made sense considering what he was. >/////< "Yes, fun sounds good," she said with a smile.

Chris sat down, still trying to take it all in. She looked where the barkeep had pointed. "Wow...pretty..." What a private box. "So...we getting ale...or do you have a recommendation? I'm up for trying something new tonight Sir Donovan." Heavy alcohol. 8D If she got any of that, this was going to be an interesting night. Well, she'd be tipsy faster then. 8D Hurr hurr hurr. "Anything really. Ale was just always my staple, I didn't really ever want or need to have much else."

Donovan seemed to think of it for a moment before coming to his conclusion, "A Jack and coke for the both of us." he said to the bartender who with a nod obliged them both. He decided he'd introduce the bard to his staple and see if she liked it. Who knows? She just might after all. The mixture of the coke's flavor along with the smoothness of the golden whiskey might be as good to her palette as it was for his own. She was a bard, she could hold her liquor right? Plus tonight was about new experiences. "So, how are places like this back home where you live?" he asked her as the bartender brought them both a glass of Jack and Coke. He took his in his hand and raised it before bringing it to his lips to take a sampling sip of it.

Chris took her drink and held it in her hands a moment. "Well, you kinda saw, there really aren't any clubs, not like this. The best thing would be the taverns, and a few wenches if you're lucky offering services, and a bard or performer if you're really lucky. Most people would want someone like me who'd know a lot of drinking songs 'cause it brings in more coin," she said. "The only like parties that exist there take place at fairs or rich people have them, but those are like balls and masquerades."

She laughed. "I went to a dance at a fair, never had anything like it again. But the thing is, its a lot more group dancing, and your partner sometimes doesn't remain the same through the night, evening of dancing."

"There's the stuff like what my clan has as well, more private parties with song and dance," she said. Wait they were going to experience that soon why is the mun writing about it

She took a small sip of the Jack and coke, giggling at the carbonation of the coke. "It's tickling my nose!" She took a small sip and tasted it. "Uwa... never had this kind of hard alcohol before..." She took another sip. "Its not that bad..." Oh hey, coke has caffeine. And another sip. Oh hey, why was she giggling. Something certainly was waking her up. "Its different, but not really bad. I kinda like it."

... she was probably never going to be allowed to touch it again. New experiences are go!

Atleast not with the coke. Don had forgotten for a moment about the caffeine in the coke being a factor, but he shrugged it off. This was time to have fun and to indulge in a few things that normally weren't like cafeine, well not so much alcohol, but Karaoke. Plus it'd make the whole thing she was hesitant about a little more approachable, right? Well, that was his story and he was sticking to it.

Donovan nodded, listening to what Chris said about things back home. So it wasn't completely like some of the fantasy books he'd read. Though the wenches in those often offered services more "under the table" hurr hurr hurr. He took another sip of the jack and coke. "It's likely a little stronger I'm guessing. Though not so much that it doesn't have any flavor to it. The really strong stuff is kind of nasty, but if you're looking to get drunk it does the job." He would know, he'd imbibed in the stuff for a period of time. Everclear. Moonshine. Those were for periods of depression.
