They're okay. It depends which of their CDs you liked in the past.
I personally wasn't tooooo impressed, but I liked the first couple or so.
I really liked their early stuff. Like Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, and The Black Album.
So If you like their newer stuff like St. Anger and what not. Then you need to buy it.
If you're a fan of the early stuff like me, I think it's still enjoyable.
But don't take my word for it!! lol.

i think the new stuff is good for this era, and there old stuff is just plain good for any era.

I personally think that over the years Metallica has grown older and the band mates have got more mature. So I think there older albums are the best, For Example...
Ride the Lightning
Master of Puppets
In Justice for All
I'm actually not sure how old In Justice for all is.

I never really listened to And Justice For All. I just kinda stopped listening to anything newer than the Black album. lol.

In Justice for All was one of my favorite Albums by them.
