they are all cool for different reasons, but I think I like the second one the best, you can see the most detail on it clearly. the one where both the jacket and shirt are black you can't easily see where the two clothes are separate and it looks like an unsightly blob (sorry, just being honest) but if you fixed that somehow i might like that one the best. i like the coloring in it. also that one, your name is smudged... well all of the your name needs work to make it stand out, it is kinda lost in the background or unreadable in most of them. tried using red for it?

Hey :] I'd just thought I'd post something random that I just finished about... 5 seconds ago. It's not that good, seeing as I didn't spend very long on it >_>'' I'm doing commissioned Avi Art at the moment. :] I have the style I posted above, and a different kinda of style too. I don't know exactly what to call it, cause it's not anima, but it's not realistic either >_> It's... Cartoony? Only way I can really describe it, if you want to see it, I have one picture posted in the Art Arena, although it's very crappy >_< Anyways, send me a PM if you want me to do your Avi :] P.S I'd spend more time on it than I did on the one above, trust me >.>'''

Hehe, okay. I'll probably get them thursday or friday, cuz that's when I can get to a scanner. In other news, here's some photography stuff. They're from this summer, and some of them are over in the post your pics thread. I'll have more recent ones thursday. As well as the one I won a silver key for in the schoolastic art awards last weekend ^_^ Self portrait, though the person who actually clicked the button in Ceara. Another self portrait, this one was taken by a Miss Anna (ex best friend, current worst enemy >>) Self portrait again, button clicked by Anna Self portrait, taken by Anna, won a gold key in schoolastic art awards. Ceara Curry, taken by me. Jared Higgins, taken by me Jared Higgins, taken by me Jareds self portrait, taken by me. Though...he didn't know I was taking it. He was getting ready for the self portrait pic sooo...close enough to be called SP Jared Higgins, taken by me. My fav heart heart heart Self portrait, taken by Acacia Hmm...I thought I had more. I'll have to find my disk. Oh well, those are just the ones I have at the moment, not my best work.

They are all very good. You all photograph very well XD But I will admit that the first pic of Jared is my least favorite. I am just not a fan of that kind of texture changing... not that it is bad of course, I just don't like it.

Yeah, I understand. I like it a lot, when I see it on the wall next to everyone elses because it stands out. But when you just look at it by itself your just kinda like '...I don't get it....'. But my teachers complained about everyones looking the same, so I had to change it up a bit lol.
And thank you so much for the compliment. Photography is something I really really like to do, as I told you. I'm really hoping I'll be able to go somewhere with it heart

Have you taken any sorts of visual communications classes where they teach you how to express a feeling/thought without words?

Not in the past, but right now we're doing a segment on it in drama. I agree, the backgrounds and clothing are simple, and they were all obviously taken in the same area, but it was for a portrait class and we had to use the material and space provided, ya' know? This week I'm planning on uploading some of my black and white pics, where we had to develope them using a dark room and stuff. I like those a bit more.
Back to what you said though, I'm sure you have a reason for asking? Lol *can't think of a less blunt way to ask*

me? about expressing an emotion without words? well, cause... I feel that has a real use... like paying the bills wise. You can use it for magazines, or who knows what. .... like I am a viscom major, so I feel that the best art is that which speaks on a subconscious level. Like, in your images they felt like simple modeling photos. In a couple you came close to expressing emotion in them though. But it was also your lack of... props/background that restricted what you could do

Hmmm...I never really thought about it like that (lack of background and props, and more emotion and stuff). I'll have to keep it in mind next time I'm attempting to compose something.
I love how you actually COMMENT on stuff. A lot of people don't give real feed back. I mean, everybody loves to hear they have good work, but I like that you tell me what you like/what you think I should improve on, so thank you.
That goes for you too Serene. I really like that you told me what you like. And I know, I love her hair too. Right now it's blue o.o

Blue hair? O_o how does her school allow that? Yeah, I am in art school like I said so I am trained and basically required to give this kind of feed back, and I know how it feels when you don't. also I am an honest person, even when it hurts feelings sometimes

Where does she get hair dye like that? I've never seen such vibrant colours before. And your welcome for the feedback :] I'm not like the people in the arenas that go 'OMG, thats so cutee <3<3<3' And say nothing else... Sorry, it really aggravates me x3 Cause then you get 5 other comments which are basically the exact. same. thing. -_- and you're like 'Yeah... I know, I've gotten 5 other comments which are the exactly flippin' same'. ... *Sigh*
