The Centaurus II Shipyard is our life line. Here all of our fleet is created an resupplied by the space station that gathers power from the thermal energy given by the heat on the planet's surface. We protect it with everything we have, because the Dark Fleet would love to get its claws on our main production center.

Marcus came zooming through an asteroid belt just outside the Cerberus. He darted and weaved through the large collections of rock with grace and ease. Anyone could tell he was truly happy when flying.
"Well Andross? how is it to fly next to a planet made literally of magma with a core of what must be diamond by now?"

Andross was about a second behind the Admiral. After taking the controls for the first time, he wasn't about to get cocky. He treated it as though he was taking a mindless stroll around the ship. He came out into a small clearing where no asteriods were immediately present. This gave Victor time to look at the planet. He responded to Marcus through the radio after a second or two, "I say 'Let's start digging!'" He chuckled afterwords trying to imagine a jewel that large.

The Chimera moved in swiftly behind them, thrusters going full bore, fighting the pull and momentum the ship had built up. Pulling alongside the fighters, Gabriel chuckled to himself..

Marcus laughed at Andross and pressed a few buttons on his console before talking to Andross.
"Ok, we're linked now, so let's see if we can take on Gabriel. Keep a firm grip on the controls, move loose not tight, and stay calm because giant balls of rock love to kill nervous people."The computers on both ships were then linked by Marcus so if Andross was about to kill himself the ship would move out of the way by itself. After this Marcus increased the thruster speed and used the orbit to speed themselves ahead of the Chimera.

Andross nodded as the computer flashed:Connection Established He knew he wouldn't need help, but he was comforted knowing that if he did, he'd have a backup plan. After seeing Marcus start using the orbit to speed him up, Victor laughed, "I've done this before...I just hope I can take the Gs like I use to." Andross turned his ship so the canopy was facing the surface of the planet and he increased his speed. He felt the pressure start to increase and began to laugh, "YEAHHHH-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Laughing at them as they began to speed off, Gabriel moved reactor power out of his shielding, and place his core at 97% to the active thrusters, thus propelling him rapidly behind them... He already knew he was out maneuvered, but would nonetheless make the attempt to keep an even keel with them. He was still right on them for now...
I hope you realize that I know this is a battle in which I have already lost... YOUR ship Marcus is much more maneuverable than an intergalactic warship.. But yet, somehow, I still manage to keep up. Not for long I am sure, but nonetheless. I feel rusty behind the wheel of this ship though. It has been to long since real combat...

"True Gabriel, and I am about to get even farther ahead. Oh and keep scanning for enemies."Marcus began to reduce the power to the sheilds which was dangerous but smart. The energy from the planet would fuel the ship's energy and speed it up.
"Andross, your ship is about to increase speed even more, to compensate for it you'll have to increase power to the life support by at least twenty percent. We are about to overtake Gabriel by quite a bit so be prepared."Marcus smirked as the ships took off even faster then before passing the Chimera at very high speeds.

Laughing through the comm link, Gabriel commented lightly...
I enjoy your little trick that you took from me Marcus, you were always better with the smaller ships.. But remember last time? Im not sure you want the Chimera to be moving that fast... We are too close to the shipyard..
Shifting almost 115% of the power to his active thrusters, he did not engage them yet, but waited... Marcus would know he had done this, and would either goat him into it, or encourage his moderation...

Andross nodded and repeated the command to acknowledge that he heard the correct command, " Roger that, life support up .20 percent." He fiddled with some knobs and rerouted power to increase the life support by .20. Andross then placed his hand on the trottle to ensure it was in the position where he wanted it. He waited for a speed increase or a reaction from either Marcus or Gabriel.

Marcus laughed into the intercom and spoke back to Gabriel.
"You mean the move I showed you in flight school? Or don't you remember complaining and crying over the fact that you can't handle a small ship!"Marcus laughed and sent and connected with Andross again.
"Follow my lead, and don't worry, you'll do fine."Marcus pulled out of the field and began to literally fly in a circle around the Chimera as sort of an airial ******** you.

Laughing. He increased his reactors even more... Only by another 5%, making sure that he had enough power to sandbag it a little more..
I think that you are forgetting that you only fly those little things around. That never interested me. You could always outmatch me with them. Now, get me into the nice intergalactic cruisers, and I am truly sorry to say that you have most definitely met you match. Now, I will ask again. I can make this gravitational field a whole lot stronger than your ship can handle Marcus. Then I would just have to save your a** again.. I am most assured that you do not want that blemish on your new record.

Marcus had to resist blowing the sensor array off Gabriel's ship and then rewire his shield. He indeed would have done this were it not for two mercenary battleships coming out of hyperspace.
"Cut the crap Gabriel and protect the Cerberus, we can't allow those two damned ships to get to it. To all units dispatch all fighters and aim for their sensors."Marcus took off toward the battleship on the left and he hoped Andross wouldn't be too far behind. For it didn't matter if he was on the Cerberus because in its current state of construction it couldn't fire anyways.

Andross waited for the the gravational field to increase, but it didn't. He listened to the two friends bicker like an old married couple. Suddenly, the situation took a turn for the worst. Andross returned the fighter to normal energy levels and maxed out the throttle, "This is Spectere on your six, Admiral. Weapons are hot and I'm ready to fly."

Marcus laughed into the comm and lessened his speed slightly so Andross would catch up.
"Switch into an offensive mode, take down shields by twenty percent and increase weapons by twenty. Prime your lasers and attack the sensor array after I do. Coming in for the run now."Marcus shot at the arrayand knocked off the antena but the core was still there, Andross would need to deal the final strike which would leave the left battleship blind.
