pain inflicts by all means
walk on, smile and laugh
suffering, physical
emotional
and mentally
alone, left only to feel
still walking on smiling

misguidance mistrust, wicked thoughts
stop
think
look around
nothing
not a sound

time changes, perspective untouched
heart's pouring, pounding out
left only to be unfelt
mind drifts heart wanders
soul ponders
continuing on, same smile and laughter

the words those eyes,
our clutched fist
both sides, reasons of lies, we don't ask why
solid heads bounded to collide
lights on turned off, only left to turn back on
still with that laughter and smile

left a bit shattered and bruised
through it all still remains the truth
yet everything unchanged,
you've the same
mind heart, body and soul
that genuine laughter and smile
how...
and why...?

unknowingly, knowing i got you and likewise
no matter the laceration nor obstruction
for that's reason enough,
we laugh, we smile
