OH I'm so relieved!!! I'm not a very big fan of the character Jacob, but I HATEHATEHATE when movies change actors between sequels!! I was so afraid Taylor was going to be given the boot for New Moon, but with the official statement from Chris Weitz and Stephenie Meyer on StephenieMeyer.com, its confirmed!!! I know what you mean. I was really upset when I found out they might replace him. Thank goodness that breif insanity is passed.

I'm glad he's sticking around too. I realize a lot of people were saying he wasn't big enough to stay Jacob as the character gets older, but with camera angles, steps, or whatever else they feel like, they can make the kid look taller.
...Or the fans can overlook one minor detail in favor of keeping a good actor instead of risking a new one.

Yay! I thought he did a nice job with Jacob, although he looks a bit different than how I pictured Jacob. Yay that they're keeping him! whee

If anyone's seen Harry Potter, that's how they made Hagrid look so HUGE! Tall boots and forced camera angles. A bit more complicated version is with Gandalf and Frodo in the Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring. But seriously, 'he's not big enough' is a poor excuse when you can force so many things in Hollywood INCLUDING body figures.
