The rain pounded against the roof of a far-away mansion deep inside the Tanseis Forest. The full moon was hidden behind the storm clouds, and on this night of darkest nights, a quest shall begin. Inside the mansion on the second floor, inside a room warmed by the fire stood two people. The first one was hidden under his cloak, soaked by the rain. The second person seemed to be of elven blood, although not untouched by time with a long white beard, and wrinkles across his forehead.

The old elf, turned away from the cloaked man, stares into the fireplace as the flames leaped and danced as they consumed the wood. With a rasping voice, the old one spoke. “Times are getting darker, and much more troublesome…In my old age, I cannot hope to venture out of this forsaken place to my people or to the humans…It seems as though I’m to wither away here alone…” He looked then on the mantle at an hourglass whose sands were dripping slowly, and only one eighth of the sands remained on top. “Time is running out for the both of us…Hopefully, my lovely goddess will take me away before it happens…”

The cloaked man stood silently and continued to listen to the old elf talk, not moving except for his eyes to follow the elf’s to the hourglass. The elder continued. “There isn’t much time to waste. I have called you in here so that you can deliver a message for me…a message to the King and Queen of Haceks, the neighboring human kingdom to my homeland.” The old one’s eyes fell on the other for the first time that night as he walked slowly toward the cloaked man. The old elf searched the pocket of his white robe, and pulled out a small scroll. “This is the message I need delivered. This scroll is special as I have placed a spell on it to prevent its opening before it’s time. You know that spell, and only you can break its seal…And I can only trust you with it. The times are ever darker, and your life will be in danger the moment this is placed in your hands. Whatever you do, don’t fail in your mission.”

The young man nodded his head and took the scroll from the old elf. And thus, the quest begins…

This Rp follows the quest of the messenger to deliver a message to the King and Queen of Haceks…Where do you come in? Well, there will be dangers along the way, and in the small town of Irise, the messenger has made it known that he is looking for travellers to act as his bodyguards and comrades on his journey...but little will anyone know that the journey to Haceks is just the beginning...

Now, as most Rps, There are a few basic rules to follow:

1. Follow the regular rules as stated for the guild, (like no godmodding, bunnying without permission, etc.)
2. I know some people may start posting as soon as they are accepted into the Rp, but I’m asking for everyone to hold off first. As soon as a good amount of people have joined, (three at the least), I will make the first post describing the town and where the messenger is, and how he sets about asking for help, and I don’t want others to be posting any actual posts for the Rp before then… (occ, bios, and questions are an exception to this rule).
3. For any OOC (which stands for out-of-character) discussion, if it be placed with a post for the Rp, it will be at the very top indicated by a color variation of text, (not white or yellow).
4. I would like people to post often, like once a week if possible to be able to keep this Rp alive…and if there is any trouble, such as going away, it can be handled accordingly….absences for no reason will result in your character being kidnapped until you decided to show back up…
5. I know this sounds like a lot, but it shouldn’t be too hard to do, and have fun!

As for bios, here is an outline:
Name:
Gender:
Age: (can be estimated or unknown)
Race: ( preferably one race or half, but not “half demon, half elf, half human” combination, because three halves does not make one person….do so, and I have the right to say you can’t do math.)
Background: (Just enough to say how you got to Irise-(a small human town on the border of Haceks; a common crossroad for many), or this may be posted in introductory post instead…
(Appearance and personality may be added, but it can also be described in the roleplayer’s introductory post.)

And here is the messenger...

Name: Sin Dalwe
Gender: Male
Age: (looks 21 in human years)
Race: half-elf
Background: (For all intented purposes, his background will be revealed later as the story progresses…right now, all you need to know is that he is the messenger.)

Character Name: Dawn Valkyrie
Gender: Female
Age: looks 18, but is 23. (Looks in human years)
Race: Elf
Background: As a child, Dawn was always a bit short for her race. She did not care what the others thought of her or what the others may think of her. When she was young, she went to into her homeland, Gilt-Leaf, to train in the field of Moonglove. The way of Moonglove was in skilled Martial Arts, with hand to hand combat. Her training lasted up to her 21st anniversary. For the other two years, she kept her skills sharp by adding her small sword in with the mix of her skills, and quickly realized that the skills of the Moonglove were to give death to her opponents brutally; she kept this hidden for until she was ready to perform the arts once again, and once she got to back to Irise.

Name: Howard
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Race:Human.
Background: Howard is an out of work chef slowly making his way back to his parents' home in the country. He comes from extremely modest means and has no formal education. Working in the fields as a child has made him rather strong, but he'll probably lose against a trained opponent. He is not looking forward to returning home a failure and is actively looking for work in each town he passes.

Both of you are both accepted....I guess I would like just one more person to join us, and then this Rp can start....

if no one else joins us within two weeks, this Rp will start with just the people we have.

In the small town of Irise, the buildings were all of the same shade of tan, and large farms and grassy fields surrounded the town on all sides. It was relatively flat land for a few miles around. It's springtime, and flowers can be seen in blossom throughout the fields. The sun is up, and midday is closely drawing near.

There was a river that divided the town into a north and south side; the only difference between them, is that regular residents live on the south end, and the markets, shops, and other businesses are located in the north. One of the cheaper inns, located on the south side, had its sign, which read "Kilan Inn", is where our story starts.

Sin Dalwe sat at the counter inside this particular inn. His black cloak hid his features, and gave him a rather suspicious look. He didn't intend to stay too long in the inn, but he had some business to take care of, and he needed a free meal. The innkeeper, Mr. Kilanne, of who the inn was named after, happened to be a good friend of Sin. Kilanne was about average height for a human in his forties, and was slightly large around his middle, with a tuft of brown hair on his head.

Sin spoke in a raspy whispering voice, "Can you do me this favor? I can even pay you."

Kilanne, then watching Sin pull out a pouch, shook his head. He spoke with his deep voice that could be heard everywhere inside the inn, despite trying to whisper. "Keep your money. Of course I'll help. That's what friends are for, eh? So who are you exactly looking for? And how many?"

Sin placed his money pouch away. "Anyone who can hold their own in combat, and as many as possible...Also, make certain that they are trustworthy...this is an important mission."

As Dawn was walking back from her long training, she saw her beloved town, Irise, she smiled at the sight of the morning activity in the town's markets and shops. She walked smoothly around, checking out the sights as though a tourist would, but kept quiet and collective as she looked at all the goods. She felt at ease, especially her own kind blended in so naturally here.

Normally, Dawn would be buying, but today she had her own agenda, her agenda, to find a new thrill, to test her skills in combat, since she had a tingle in her saying that it will be soon, but how soon, was the question, since she herself, didn't know when that was.

However, something compelled her to look a little deeper in a place where she had a small hint that she has to go into a particular place, the "Kilan Inn", though she didn't know why, but something told her to go there.

As she elegantly made her way through the south side to reach her so called hint could be determined a little more. She hesitated to go in at first, but, she paused before she went in.
