The private domain of Ciara Karnstein, universally shared by the other prefects, the top floor of the manor is home to a solitary room that belongs solely to the young woman. All other rooms in the manor are accessible by all other prefects, including the Prefect Leader, Saga-sensei.

Each prefect may decorate the room they choose as their own within the manor to their specifications, but the top room remains the same, Victorian in design, done in shades of jet black, sanguine red, and silver.

Though the walk took the girl some time, she arrived in her home with haste, frowning as she ascended the stairwell that led to the top of the manor house. She could tell in an instant that the rest of the prefects must have stayed behind in their own dormitories, the place was entry, except for herself, and perhaps one other.

While she usually preferred her own company, this one other would be a welcome sight this night. At the top of the winding staircase, she pivoted and moved down the long hallway, to a smaller set of stairs which went straight upward, to a set of double doors. Tossing the doors open, she pulled the tie from her pocket and tossed it across the bed that set just to her left, kicking the doors closed behind her with a firm thump of her foot.

Frowning, the girl set to pacing, the nails on slender fingers digging into her palms with a bite hard enough to bring blood, even as she could do little but move back and forth across the lush carpeting of her bedroom.

"There has to be something more to that girl. The feeling about her was like that of death itself." She was speaking, but it was to someone, whomever it was, a shadowy figure, strewn across her bed, watching her with critical eyes.

"I should have done something to attempt to stop her. Her aura, it was so cold. So threatening. I'm not certain what it was, but it was enough that even I cringed. Was it wrong of me to let her go?" She continued to walk along the floor, shedding her outer garments, leaving her in the white undershirt she wore, and the pants that she'd been in since earlier in the day. Even her shoes were kicked off to the side, leaving bare feet to pad across the carpet.

"I know, I know," she spoke to the shadowed figure, shaking her head slightly.

"I should be more careful. But I really should do some sort of research on that girl. I'm.. disquieted by her. Her very being seems wrong." She paused, bringing her fingers to her mouth as she sighed softly.

"I'm sorry. Interrupting the time that we should be spending talking about other things, talking about this. I'll sleep in one of the other rooms tonight." She pivoted, pausing. It was strange sometimes, being an adult trapped in the body of a child. She knew how Evangeline felt, even if the girl did look older than the other vampire.

How hard it was, to pretend to be something one wasn't. To pretend to do things that others do. To ignore the gnawing hunger that demanded satisfaction. But the very thing she fed on was taboo in this world, and she knew it. Sighing, she walked over to the shadowed figure, reaching to brush strands of hair back from the figures face, smiling downward.

"Thank you, for listening. I'll go first thing tomorrow, and see what I can find out. Her old school records must have something that can give me assistance." She smiled down, and remained for a moment longer, before letting her hand drop, as she turned to walk out.
