The Call Shortlisted for ’Best Original Song’ OscarRegina Spektor’s "The Call," the first song during the credits for Prince Caspian, has been shortlisted for the Best Original Song award by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. It has not been officially nominated; it is merely recognized as an eligible entry for nomination. Source: Narnia Web

I'm gonna sacrifice an animal in the hopes it will get nominated.
I know LWW won the Oscar for makeup awhile ago.

The song didn't get in. It's spot was taken by Wall-E. Yeah, LWW won the make-up Oscar in 2006. That's the year Memoirs of a Geisha beat Harry Potter for Art Direction (*holds grudge*).
I have a big love for Narnia. But it's a bucket of water compared to an ocean of Harry Potter. Twilight is a small raindrop in comparison...But Narnia still kicks a**.

I don't know, I mean, I love Narnia, but HP appeals to me more because it's longer, and there are more twists in the tale. But, like I said, Narnia still kicks a**.

I don't know if anyone else is aware of this, but a short clip of PC was shown during the Action Movies tribute during Oscars night. The only reason I noticed it (it was really short) was the absence of guns and cars...I'm not sure, but it might be the scene where Peter's fighting Miraz or just a part where Peter is during the big battle. Did any body else see that?

I didnt catch that! For all the montages(even the romance one) I was hoping to see some Narnia but nothing. The Oscars were actually entertaining. Although the HSM and Twilight crew destroyed any integrity that was left.
The Pineapple Express spot was priceless.

I thought Hudgen and Efron's performance was great!
As for the PC clip I didn't see it, didn't watch much of the Oscars. But it was just WillMo kicking someone's butt. Like I haven't seen that before xd
& for HP I agree somewhat, Potter rocks just as much as Narnia. There is more twists and all but can still be very confusing, maybe that's why I prefer to read Narnia. Though HP is very entertaining.

While I was watching the Romance montage, I was complaining that they didn't have any Narnia. When the part of the video came up where they showed all the kissing couples, I was like, "Come on! Narnia! Narnia! NARNIA!"
But instead they decided to show Wall-E and HSM.
@ cupfly: I understand that HP is kinda confusing. I remember reading the books and getting confused in some parts. I have a few friends who think that Voldemort is Dumbledore and vice versa.

Ha, the epic Narnia vs HP battle. First of all Narnia is a children's series so that eliminates the action and twists that Potter has. It pains me to say but the Narnia movies are elves next to the blockbuster HP films.
Why am I going against my own fandom? emo Oy vey. I still like Narnia.

I remember writing a story like that a while back. It's somewhere on Fanfiction.Net, on my old account. I might re-write to include other characters. (Narnia- characters from 2-7; HP- characters from 5-7)
All I remember is that the beavers ate the Weasley twins' broom and they all fell into the river. Sad to say, everyone in that story died. Hey, I couldn't show any partiallity, right?

I think I put it at K+, which, now that I think about it, isn't exactly appropriate...I might re-write it and put it up as T.

Well if you do rewrite it I wanna read it. Although if Narnia fans can handle the tragic ending of the series they could probably handle your story.
