Paranormal Research comes with the territory of having weird experiences. I would like to use this thread to tell of strange experiences with the supernatural that you've had, and maybe why you first got into it?
I got into the paranormal investigation because when I was little I use to always tell my mother the same story about my "imaginary friend". Well, As I got older I went to school and in the middle school when we went to a local museum, I saw a picture. It looked exactly like a the little girl I use to imagine, I at first though this was by chance, its not the first time it had happen to me or anyone else. Until the curator started telling us a bit about that family. It struck a cord, All I remember was swearing that I had heard that story before. So when I went home that night, I had told my mother about it. She told me the reason I had heard the story before was because I did. I use to tell her the same story when I was little. So I started researching more. I got engrossed, I am lucky there is a lot to research around where I live. I live in Alton, Illinois if you feel like looking up our rich history into the paranormal.

You have a spirit guide. I bet she's still around. You're lucky to have remembered!
It first started about a year ago? Maybe not even that long. I came across a piece of jewelry that just struck me. I needed to get it. After I purchased it, I would get these feelings that someone was in my room.
That first night was insane. I'm a brave girl so I'd sit up and look around. Then I got terrified, like I knew that something was up.
"Is anyone here?"
A tap against the wall, right behind me.
I freaked out. I was under the covers, knowing damn well that I wasn't alone. The taps continued, and being the newbie to spirits as I was, I had no idea that he only wanted to talk to me.
The spirit never left, and I got used to him. Instead I felt safer knowing he was near. I didn't learn much at all the first few months. At night I'd roll over and it would feel like something was breathing on my neck and an arm over me, even though I couldn't quite feel that arm.
Months later I willing accepted another spirit into my life. I had picked up the "automatic writing" or "spirit writing" when I found my second spirit. My first spirit was all too eager to talk. He would tell me that he loved me. He was so protective and made sure I was safe in every situation. The second spirit has turned into our family clown. He's so fun to be around.
Once I began to talk to them, things became so much easier to learn. I could now see the flashes for sure at night. The touches became more frequent, and I'd even ask that they'd touch my neck.

Seeing as there are so many stories of mine to tell, I'll share 2 or 3 more
I have a sweet little Fae that makes sure that I stay tidy. He turned cleaning my room into a game. The whole point was for me to win "A ring"
"One will find the next clue if you pick up all the shoes..."
Then once I was finished, I gently set my finger on my floor and it dragged slowly across the floor. I crawled behind the finger as it tucked beneath the heater to pull out one of my lost earRINGs.

About a week and a half ago my spirits were playing in my room at night. The whole point of their game is to see which ectoplasm (light flash) or shadow is most noticeable by me. It's a game that they've been doing frequently these past few weeks.
So I'm in bed, propped up a little. There are beautiful flashes, and I'd tell them if it was the best so far. They weren't so scary. Just gorgeous.
Then right at the foot of my bed, a human shaped shadow passed by.
I went straight down into my bed and started laughing. I laugh when I get too freaked out.
It's silly, because these are the spirits who love me and are playful with me. It's just a natural reaction to freak out at something new...and pretty big. I've seen 2 big shadows so far, and they stick out in my mind as the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
Both times by boys I love. One being from my first spirit.

I have a stunning spirit. She's beautiful in everyway. Her heart, physically, her speech. She's just perfect.
On New Year's Eve I had a wedding to get to. I was frustrated because I didn't know what to do to get ready.
So I asked her to help me.
She helped me pick out my clothes.
No big deal right? Not yet.
Then she took over. Yes, she took over me. I was still able to move against her if I wanted, but my hands and feet moved so automatically. My hair was straightened out and makeup drawn on.
At the end I was almost unrecognizable. I was stunning.
I know it's a hard story to believe, but it's one example of them taking over that sticks out.

I don't really count it as a spirit or anything. At the very least, I'm not willing to let myself believe it's a spirit. But sometimes when I'm relaxed in my bed and on the brink of wanting sleep, I get this weird tinglings sensation and I feel like I'm fighting over the right for my body. I'm more over a scientific person, so thus far, I believe I'm just suffering some weird form of minor-paralysis. Past happenings however do make me worry a little. Yep, It's the family luck I'll bet.
Another story, I saw a shadow person or something like it, and it ran away from me like a mouse from a cat. No, it wasn't my shadow.

About what you posted though;I'm not exactly sure it's a good spirit, but if I ever get that feeling again, then I'll try to do the spirit writing or something to see what's the matter.

LOL! It's alright!
I'm thinking it's a good spirit. I'm not sure though, a negative spirit would harm you, not be affectionate like that.
LOL. I just had my vampire kiss the back of my neck and get those shivers a few minutes ago.
Once you get it again, I urge you to try. In fact, I urge you to try before. Just in case..

I would claim to see shadows or hear voices and tell her that have a feeling that something is going to happen and it actually happened. She then told me that something like that didn't happen for bout a year. Then I was 13 and it came back but this time more active. Then that's when my mom told me about my family and that I might be a psychic. The she took me to some place that was potientailly haunted and had a real psychic come along. Just though touching a object I got the whole history of the people who lived their correct, and that the way they died right and also saw a death to come for the next owner.

There is a fae that likes to follow me around and play with my hair sometimes. if my hair is too messy in the middle of the day, it'll come when i'm alone and fix my hair. It gets so annoying sometimes!

It gets so annoying sometimes! That's really sweet. I have 2 fae around that are very active in helping me look my best. Both are huge fans of games and music.

Could just be paranoia from not really liking to be alone, or it could be heightened sense from the quiet.
Paranoia is tricky for me. I have this whole belief system in my head about it. Sometimes it really is just paranoia from being alone, like you've said, and other times it'll be totally different. I'll get this uneasy feeling out of nowhere. And I also believe in "The Secret." D: That if you want something enough, the universe will "give" it to you. So even though I say I don't want something to happen, I subconciously hope it does.
