Different peoples eat different foods, and yet it is the desire to sit down at a table and eat with others – be they family or friends – that we share. Food can never just be about the story of the recipe: The meals we eat say something fundamental about who we are and how we want to live.
When I started writing about food, I realized that if the point of cooking was the end product, its meaning lay in the process. I think that still, you don’t have to be a ---- world known chef ---- to make to-die-for chocolate confections: nor do you have to spend hours faffing about with hot pans and jars.
Most of my / our recipes are hand-me-downs, adaptations from other sources and recipes made by the Captain and Crew.
In true pleasure, this guild is for any woman (or man! wink ) who wishes to bring a little extra at home with recipes that are known for being world-class yet delightfully simple to make.

Explanation of the Sub-Forums
Basic Recipes; This is where the Culinary Arts comes in, sheer basic recipes and few techniques to help others along. – This is still a WIP, as I have to translate everything from Dutch to English.
Drinks; This is a no brainer, this is where all the cocktails or smoothies or whatever drinks you can think of goes here.
Appetizers; This is where small meals are presented, from lunch to appetizers that will go with the main course. Think of Soups that goes as the first course of a three course meal for example.
Filling Meals; I kept this broad, this has everything to do with a main course, from curries to steaks. Even Sauces can go here in its own designated topic.
Just Desserts; Another no brainer =P this will have all the desserts listed.
Vegetarian Cuisine; This wouldn’t be complete without this subject, these fantastic dishes are great and the people should have their own place to gather their recipes.
Special Diets; This is a side project that I am not sure if we would ever complete it, this is mainly informative, to let others know what some go through and hopefully be able to add recipes that suit that diet.
Around The World; The cuisine around the world has always fascinated me, and has played an influential role in my life. I am fascinated by this and thought it be an ideal place to let others of a different background add the traditional dishes.
In the Kitchen; You never really get to see the cooks at work, or exactly the opposite. This is a Crew Area only, you can guess the rest no? =P
