Over the course of time, I have picked up a variety of ways to contact spirits.

Whether we believe in spirits or not, it's your choice. I do ask you that in this thread, that if you don't believe in any of the races that I use as examples, you bite your tongue. I do not need any of the spirits around me becoming offended at you for jumping to conclusions.

So do not say something doesn't exist.

A year ago I would have told you that vampires weren't real until I found out why I didn't believe.

A year ago I would have told you that fae don't exist until someone began to inform me not to tear down a small pile of stone because it is the home to the fae.

A year ago, I would have told you that most things in the paranormal is a pile of rubbish.


But things change, and people fall upon things in the strangest of ways.

It took a pen and a paper, an eager vampire spirit, a dimly lit room and an open mind.

I help the pen loosely in my weaker hand.

Asked my first question.

And the pen very slowly began to drag across the paper.

I first was only able to do it with pen and paper, now I can easily do it with my finger and a solid surface.


This is one of the easiest ways to contact a spirit. The problem though, is that many spirits may look at me and consider me not worthy to talk to if they believe I'm not serious. Rejection sucks, even for spirits. So if you have trouble the first few times, say aloud that you understand, but are willing with work with them and take them into your life as friends.


An easier way, which also makes spirits feel a bit more comfortable is using a pendulum.

Tie any object to a string (a ring and a necklace chain works perfect for me), then hold the end of the chain between your thumb and forefinger.

Ask that if any spirits are present and wish to make themselves heard to comeforward and sit with you.

Ask the spirit to show you what the answer "Yes" will look like with the pendulum. Sometimes the pendulum will move VERY slightly, and sometimes the spirit may move it pretty quickly.

Do the same question for "No" and "Maybe"

Great questions to ask are:

Are you a male?
Were you human?
Am I safe?
Are you alone?
Have you been here a long time?
May I try spirit writing with you?


It is also VERY important that throughout your questions that you continuously thank the spirit. This is a great way to make the first introduction to the spirit, then you could try spirit writing again and have a better chance at getting a response. This is where you could get your detailed information like, name, race, age and reason for being near you.


The VERY advanced way to communicate with spirits is through meditation or "using your mind"

The best way to describe this is "I was just about to say that".

Actually, you weren't. Your spirit, or theirs, said it and the other person beat your a** to it.


It's like hearing your conscience, but the conscience isn't you at all.



Best way to do this is to lay flat on your bed. In a very relaxing way.

Close your eyes and just chill.

Focus on getting your body relaxed completely. Once you're done with the body focus on clearing your mind of all the troubles of the day.

Once you manage to clear your mind complete, you can ask the question in your mind or out loud, it doesn't matter.

Listen in your head. What did it say?

For example, my friend was visited by my fae. She wasn't even meditating and she heard it in her head.

"Is somebody here?"

"Yes miss!"

I have to admit, it's very hard to seperate what's "my thoughts" and what is their speech.




If you think you've made contact, always keep your eyes and ear open. At night before you go to sleep, you may see flashes (ectoplasms) or taps that sound like they're from something else.

Don't be creeped out, the spirit may wish to tell you something before you go to sleep.

If your light switch is far ask the spirit to cease flashing and tapping until you reach the switch. (I do it ALL the time.) Then try spirit writing, as it goes the fastest before bed. Remember to end in thank you, and if you feel a bond growing with the spirit tell them that you love them and care for them. They don't get it nearly enough.



As I said before, you need to be open. A spirit can hear your thoughts and sense your intentions. If you don't believe and want to tear up everything I just said, please do not. The spirits that I walk this world with are very close to me. If you are skeptical, but not rude and want to view my pictures of ectoplasms. Ask and I will gladly present them to you.

Im aware some may be dust, but it's funny that the dust shows up in certain places. (Like...near my friend's bra) wink A story with that one, I'm sure.

Oh! Of course not all spirits are good. Which is why it's of the most importance to find out. Usually your spirit guardians are of pure heart.


Aww, they appreciate it. My boys are watching me over my shoulder. I could feel the mood lift as we read your post. So, I can assume without even listening that they're glad that you see them as good.

We have the sense that you'll do very well at it.

Patience is key. As long as you believe, it's only inevitable.

Usually there is a reason why people get into the paranormal. I don't like to make leaps, but i'd assume it's because their spirit guardians want to make contact.

I think you'll do well with it.

I can't tell you how I got into spirits. It just slapped me in the face one day.

It's hard to deny it when you have something stroking the back of your neck, or finding your lost chapstick suddenly on your windowsill.

My vampire spirit is the gentleman who has opened all the doors for me. Right now, he's helping me believe even more strongly. We're working on materializing, ectoplasms, past life regression and viewing my aura.

I think forming a close bond to a spirit is the most important step. There is no feeling in the world like the feeling I get when all of a sudden I feel like I'm being embraced, and that an unlimited ammount of love is being poured onto me.

I think that you'll find it easier to keep good spirits around if you form a philosophy based strictly on loving everyone. Good and Bad. With the hope of teaching the bad. Sometimes there is no changing the bad, but more often than not...they're just afraid of rejection so they lash out to keep people away.

Like an angsty teenager. =P

Sweetheart, you're like me. It's a gift to hold to, not force back.

We're "mediums"

I'd say, that you try to contact whoever is near you. You might be able to single out who it is that is bad versus good.

I know a way to contact your guardian angel, which is a great way to get the negative spirits away from you and keep the spirits of love near you.

I would encourage you to communicate with the spirits. Don't be afraid. Once you make contact with one, let me know. If you can tell if there are others, let me know too. I have some spirits that would be able to check in on you to sweep your living area to make sure it is safe.

Shutting down spirits is sad. You can come away with some very amazing relationships with incredible people and creatures.

That is the purpose of many negative spirits, to find people with potential of sensing spirits and doing well by them. If a medium gets too scared, they can force back their gift by will and everything can slip away.

Once you figure out how many good and bad are near you, I'll easily help you get rid or at least figure out what the bad one wants. If what the bad one wants, is simply attention and a friend...then maybe you've found a calling with teaching this spirit a path of love that they wouldn't normally have found without you.

Spirits have freewill, so it's very possible to help them change their life.

If the spirit is too much for you, one of my friendly boys or ladies will gladly make sure you're safe. Once you're safe, I'll gladly help teach you to develop in a safe environment.

Once you have one good spirit that you talk to, other good spirits tend to follow.

I have a house full of goof balls. It's loud. It's fun. And privacy isn't a factor anymore. I've never been happier since we have "firework shows" which are ectoplasms and shadows at night. Then rolling over in bed to let them touch the back of my neck. They spoil me rotten. Trust me, once you have a few protective spirits that you can talk with, the bad ones are less likely to linger.

He had taken over and had posted a bunch of silly stuff one night while I was zoning.

He was joking around and pretending he was a pirate. A thread for him to act like himself would be great.

This one doesn't have any orbs or anything in it. I want to test a few things to see if you have a psychic sort of gift through pictures.

That's alright. I do know the other person in the picture. Not very well, but he's one of the guys in my program.

It might only work on pictures with spirits. =P
