What is the point of the crew, and what was the problem with the last one?
Shouldn't every guild member be involved in decisions made for the guild, and not just an exclusive group of people?
Oh, and I can't post in the Name Contest thread because the thread is crew members only.

Quezie Shouldn't every guild member be involved in decisions made for the guild, and not just an exclusive group of people? Exactly. Jen and I are perfectly fallible. Our select, handpicked, exclusive group is here to make sure we don't get too big for our breeches. They're here to keep us in check. Aside from issues involving Gaia T.o.S. and the enforcement of guild rules, I don't intend to do anything big without consulting the members and establishing a consensus.

As for what was wrong with the crew of Cuckoo's nest, a certain someone on the crew was making decisions and actions first off without notifying the crew, which left us in the dark, but also without notifying the guild. Demoting, removing people, etc, should not only be up to the captain, but the crew as well as up to the guild.

Fact is, we are the ones who can say, enforce the ToS. If you guys ever have any suggestions, ideas, questions, etc, you can bring it to our attention, and not only will we discuss it, but then we will bring it to the public's attention as an idea, to see what the majority of the people think of it... Plus we are basically the ones who can make your idea a reality... We can post it, or enforce it. Someone has to be in charge, or able to make changes... It's just how the guild system works. Someone has to be a "captain" to control the costs and stuff, although, I dont think that just because I'm the "captain" that Im all powerful. The guild in it's self will be able to over power me, I'm not the type to stand here and be like "Bow down I had the gold to make this guild possible" that's not how I operate. I believe that a Guild like this should be a place people can come to get away, relax, ask for advice, etc, without fearing the "crew" or being attacked, etc. I also think that none of the crew members should be able to let power get to their heads... The crew only forum has rules on how to deal with even ToS violations so that no one will get too much power going to their heads. Make sense? Even the crew is subject to punishment if they break a ToS and that has been made very clear to the crew. We are all on the same level, just some of us can say, accept request's to join while others cant. My crew will also have certain jobs eventually, like one will be in charge of say, making sure the General discussion has no ToS violations, while another will keep an eye on the Advice sub-forum... MAke sense? We are basically like moderators, making sure things go smooth. I appreciate your questions and comments, by the way. (:

Since this was addressed to me, I'll answer as well. Didn't I say I don't plan on doing anything big without consulting the members~? Gaia Online already established the rules every guild has to follow. That's the only thing that isn't negotiable as far as I'm concerned. There won't be any hate speech, bigotry, porn or anything else that will get this guild deleted on my watch. All that aside, what does that make the members~? Our bosses. We're the ones who accommodate you. If there's a sub-forum you guys want, it's Jen or I who will put it up. If some schmuck flings inflammatory remarks at you, just contact a mod or two and we'll have it taken care of. Go ahead and work me like a Hebrew slave, because I'm gonna jump down, turn around and pick a bale of consensus.
