Are there any other hotels near the convention center aside fro mthe Sheraton? I know there's a Merriot (however it's spelled) but other than that I don't know about any other hotels.

There is a Marriott Copley about 20 minutes from the con located inside the Copley mall.
There is also a Hilton across the street, which is nice. Just prey you're not cosplaying and it's raining if you stay there D:

It's ok, I felt bad for the poor Chii who was walking with me D: She had such a pretty dress and wig, and was hiding inside of her little plastic bag xDXD
For availability- I know the Hilton and Sheraton are both down to only king size beds :/

The more I think about it the better the idea sounds. But It's just so damn expensive, I'd only be able to do it if I were splitting a one bed room with like three people.

We've mastered the art of being quiet and respectable to the others staying at the hotel. We would get separate rooms, but yes, it is very expensive D:

Some hotels give discounts, weather it be government, and event such as AB, or even if you work for a certain company.
Sense the Hilton doesn't have the AB discount, I just used my mom's government one o:

Some hotels give a discount if you have a AAA card, too.
I wouldn't be able to share a room with 9 people. I was in a room stuffed with 5 people one year, and I almost killed every one of them. Just too many people in a tiny space with different time schedules.
My friends and I are staying in the Colonade this year. They have a AAA discount, but even better than that they have a summer special for if you stay 3 or more nights.

me and my friends all chatted about getting a room somewhere else other then the sheraton and hilton because how much it costs, but we all decided sheraton just because we plan on staying late and want to be close to the room.
