I got rid of the old thread. I wanted to take a simpler approach to the rules and guidelines, as well as make them easier to follow, and easier to update if I feel the need to. I haven't had very many problems with this guild, and in the year or so that it's been up I have never had to ban anybody. domokun But it is still a good idea to have a list of rules as a reference point, and so that people aren't confused when their threads/posts suddenly go missing and they don't know why.

Other forums.
If Gaia has a specific forum for something, use it. That's why it's there. Threads that belong somewhere else, but end up in here, will either be locked or deleted depending on the type of thread. In case anyone is confused, I made a list.

Type of thread - Where it belongs - Action most likely taken.

Questions about Gaia - Questions and Assistance - Thread locked, question most likely answered.

Roleplay hangout/bar - Gaia Commerce - Thread deleted.

Roleplay (vampire, werewolf, etc..) - Barton Town - Thread/post deleted.

Bump threads - Chatterbox - Thread locked.

Need bf or gf - Chatterbox - Thread deleted/+2 warn.

Selling art - Mini shops - Thread deleted.

Selling items/looking to buy items - Gaia exchange - Thread deleted.

Quest threads/begging for gold and items - Charity/Quests - Thread deleted/+1 warn.


Other guilds.
This is not Poll Central/Magical Poll Land/Any other poll guild. Does that mean you can't make any polls on your topics? Of course not. pirate But the polls and topics should be relevant to something. I'm not asking for deep ED-worthy stuff here, but if all you're doing is making tons of threads like "poll 1, poll 2, poll 3" or anything like that, all of your threads will be deleted. I probably will not warn you for it, but if there is more than an entire page to go through, that's a different story. domokun The aim of this guild is to be a chatterbox-type guild with a little bit of GD on the side. Not a place to fill up with useless polls.

Other things that can get you warned.

Any type of advertising (quests/charities/shops/lottos/avatar contests/etc...) - +1 warn
Flaming - +1 warn.
Spamming in the Chat/Discussion subforum - +1 warn.
Begging for gold/items - +1 warn.
Posting anything listed in this thread - +1 warn.

Anything that is generally considered a nuisance in the chatterbox will get you +2 warn. Confused? confused Ok, here's a list:

Quiz/questionaire threads.
Asking for a girlfriend.
Asking for a boyfriend
"Kiss if hot" threads.

I'm sure there are many I didn't mention here. If you're unsure, it is probably unacceptable. But feel free to ask anyways. pirate

Warnings?! What's that all about?
It's very simple. You do something bad, and your name goes on the warning list. Once you recieve 3 warnings, you will be banned from the guild. You will most likely be notified in the thread/post of your warning, but if I have to delete it, you won't obviously. pirate Just don't do anything bad and you have nothing to worry about, ok? wink

Gaia's TOS.
Gaia's TOS will be followed at all times. If you hack, scam, cyber, attempt to solicit cyber, troll, harass, stalk, post PG-13+ images/messages, or do anything else that violates the TOS in any way, you will be banned immediately and possibly reported to Gaia's moderators, depending on the offense.
