Creating threads and/or posting To create a thread
1) First off, make sure the thread you are creating is in the right subforum (you are not allowed to post in the main forum/Announcements).
2) To start off, you need to click the 'New Topic' button. This will open a new page.
3) The page that appears you will get edit. You need to make a title for the thread and you will need to post the body of the thread (the big blank box). You can edit the type in any way you want (change it's color and size and add pictures and emoticons. There is also a Post Style which will change the border of your post when it is selected (keep in mind that you can not change the Post Style after you hit submit). Post Action is when you want to roll the die or recieve a random number. The rolling of the die will be explained later.
To create a post
1) Go to the thread that you want to post in.
2) Click on 'Post Reply'. This will open up a page similar to creating a thread but without the title option.
3) Make a post.

How to choose who goes first or second When you make the post in the thread that you are going to duel in, click on the 'Post Action' arrow and select 'roll dice'. Two new options will appear. Select 6 Sided die and for the Number of dice put 1.
Whoever has the highest number gets to choose who goes first or second.
Another way is more curtious, ask your opponent which turn they want to take.
Quick Note: You may not draw your 5 cards until the decision of whoever goes first is resolved!

The opening post for the Duel Thread For the post, you must include who is going first and who is going second. Then, you need an opening phrase (make it up!). Last but not least, you need to include both you and your opponent's gaian names along with their Life Points. Here is a code you can use when doing the first post:Draws First:

Draw Phase Not just during the Draw Phase, but throughout the duel, you must declare what you are doing using these symbols "".
During this phase, all you need to do is state that you are drawing a card.

Standby Phase If there is no card on the field whose effect occurs during this phase then you may skip this phase.
However, if there is, you will have to state the cards name and it's effect during this phase.

Main Phase I Considering the fact that this turn you can do more than one thing, I will demsontrate how to show that I summon a monster AND activate a Spell/Magic Card.
You must create a seperate post for everything you do during this phase (which I am going to show you). Every time you do a post in this phase, you will have to inlude the words 'Will you reply?'. Contact your opponent via PM and ask them that same question. If they will not, they can not post in the thread until they do (if they say no they do not, they will have to send it via PM back to you). If they do, do not post. It is there turn to post.
For your opponent's reply it is the same thing. They do one thing at a time and post 'Will you reply?' on it giving you a chance to counter them with another spell/trap.
If you summon a monster, you must fill out this code:

Effect: (if it is an effect card)
If you activate a trap, you must fill out this code:

If you Set a Monster, Spell, or Trap, then that is all you have to say.Type the Effect of each card exactly how it is on the card. That way, when the effect says 'you' it refers to the person who just played it and when it says 'your opponent' it refers to the opponent of the person who just played it.

Battle Phase Each attack that you make on your opponent should be a seperate post that always ends in 'Will you reply?' just like the Main Phase I posts. You will always allow your opponent to reveal any face-down monsters that you attack AND activate any effects/traps/spells that they have on the field after each attack. If any of your own effects activate (either creating a Chain or not), you will make them seperate posts from your attacks (unless they activate only when you attack).
