The land lay desolate before the morning sky. The ground was still broken up from the battle that happened here many months ago. The trees and wild life were obliterated from the bright white light that shined over the land in a blinding purity that scorched the surface of Gaia. Nothing lived through the tragedy of this cold and brittle war that was fight. The night two Gods fell to the prey of a Demonic force that befallen on the family of Darken. A family line that was almost destroyed as well as the mansion that stood on these grounds.

Once stood the great Darken Manor. A fortress that was a force to be reckoned with now nothing but dust and shambles below the walkers feet that steps into the graveyard of this land. The place almost looks like a desert as one would look out into the horizon they see nothing but dust and shambles of a once stronghold. Once stood the statue of Drenia Darken now only half her statue remains barely able to stand from the constant abuse of power that was used. Nothing was left in the wake of the war.

"... What do you think Eldos? Anything left for stealings?" The small stout creature said. It's head like a birds and it's body like a dog as it dug around the earth for some sort of riches.

"Nope nope nope only skulls and dead things."

" Whats that?"

"What what?"

"Smell like demon... tanar'ri?"

"Nay worse... come come smell smell"

"UGH Nasty smelly humanoid. It dead?"

"No still breathing.... strange huh?

"Run we better before it wakes...."

The two creatures scurried off away from the body that seemed to lay on the rubble that was once Darken Manor. The clothing was ripped and tattered his body no longer was torn but large scars covered his body as he laid there in the dust forgotten. His eyes slowly open to taste the dirt in his mouth crunch between his teeth. The feeling his body gave him was utter pain but his face was confused of his surroundings. His eyes stared around him as he looked out about him they empty wasteland.

".... Were am I?...This place..."
His eyes blinked once more giving off a golden look to his Iris as he slowly sat up sitting on his knees. Something in his chest ached but it made sense. None of it did, all he could do was sit and watch out in the horizon. He had no sense of who he was, were he was. Did he cause such a horrible thing? He cringed back thinking that maybe he caused the sight that was around him. Fear slipped into heart as he placed his hands on his face. Suddenly he jumped back seeing his dark skin hands. He jumped back with a shrill yelp in his voice as he curled back against the rock. What was he? A monster?

"... help me" His words escaped his dry lips only a mere whisper.

"HELP ME! SOMEONE HELP HELP ME...." His eyes cried tears of blood as he curled in a ball. Echoing cries in a wasteland with nothing but himself and no memories to comfort him.

It wasn't too long after Valdris awoke that another Darken teleported a good distance away from the building then stalked up towards the ruins invisible. It was just a precaution that she was using in case something she'd rather not face took it's lair in the old building. It was the last place that she would have thought to check for her old lover and clanmate, but it just...came to her as she was trying to rest, waiting to hear if Nicolas had returned from wherever he had disappeared to this time. It seemed her current fling roamed as much or more then she did.

She had forsaken the current guise she was using while roaming about Durem and the VR, returning back to her natural drow appearance. Black hair as dark as a raven's wings fell in soft waves half way down her back, bangs came down to either side of her delicate features and almost hide her ruby eyes. Despite almost expecting to run into some kind of trouble, she was wearing the typical black leather corset that hugged her curves and made certain areas perkier and appear larger. Along the edges a piece of red dyed leather ran beside the black. Hugging her hips and barely covering her private areas, a leather skirt clung tight to her legs, almost preventing her from walking too fast. Even more leather clung to her feet and wound up her calves to stop just under her knees, black like the rest of her attire. The only non-leather piece of clothing she wore was the long cloak that brushed against the ground, pushed away from her shoulders to keep her hands free in case she needed to grab a dagger or cast a spell in haste.

Walking near silently, she stalked around the ruins with one hand on the dagger that was held at her side by a small strap on her belt. Ruby eyes kept searching, darting one way then the other... searching for any signs of life or of a passing presence. She wasn't a tracker by far, but she thought she'd notice the signs of something moving around the dust and debris. However the only signs she could find at first were over what she assumed were scavengers and 'treasure hunters' that had picked through whatever magical items they could find left behind. Too bad for them, the most important had been taken before the fighting really started, but it was now lost in the 'enemy's' hands.

Finally her sensitive ears caught the sound of breathing, tilting her head towards the noise she tried to focus on the direction it came from before starting back out towards it. Then the smell hit her, stopping her dead in her tracks. It had been long enough ago for some of the smells of death and decay to 'die down' a bit, it was strong enough to make her gag in places, but other's she could almost ignore it. However.. now it wasn't the decay of death that was assaulting her nose, but the scent of fresh blood. That small scent told her that something at least was alive in the ruins...

Hurrying as fast as she dared in the high heeled boots along the debris, Eltoas kept pushing various things around..searching, sniffing the air for more of the blood. When she finally came upon the body, she thought it may have been too late at first for the pose and how it was motionless. The more she stared and listened, she could hear the faint sounds of it's breathing and the gentle raise and fall of his chest. Falling down to her knees beside him, a strange sob like noise came from her throat as one hand reached out to touch his shoulder. Not seeing her own hand when it moved to touch him, she paused and whispered the arcane word to dispel her invisibility.

Now that she was visible, her small, warm hand reached out to touch his bare shoulder. "Valdris... I'm so sorry," she murmured to herself, her free hand reaching up to undo her clasp. Pulling the hand from his skin, she tugged the cloak off her shoulders and laid it across his body to give him a little added warmth while she waited to see if he was awake or would respond to her.

His eyes looked up at her like a scared child he pulled back. His eyes dodged side to side as he stepped back away from her. He bared his teeth at her as he tugged the cape around him tighter.

"V..V..Valdris? is that who I am. Do you know me somehow? What is this place?" His eyes looked around in all sort of wonder. His hands reached out reaching for her. His actions were not threatening but curious. His fingers gently brushed her hair. The soft locks dancing over his thin dark fingers as he looked into her crimson eyes.

"I know you... don't eye. Lips sweet like chocolate... " He paused letting his fingers rest on her lips and slowly pulled away.

"Sorry... I do not know what I am saying... I... feel so out of place. What am..I?"

Confusion then hurt and sadness flickered across her delicate features before she shifted her eyes away from him for a moment to collect herself. Of course he would have some issues, he had been lost for so long.. and so much must have happened while she had been off with others, trying to forget what she had done to him. Blinking for a moment, she turned back to him with a forced smile as her hands fell to her lap, her ruby eyes trying to search his for any signs of remembrance. At this point, her tail would be visible and wrapped tightly around her waist.

"You could say that.... I'm your sister, we were... close,"
she told him, glad for her dark skin that kept her blush from showing through. "This was our home, there was a war and things went to the Abyss and back," she went on to explain. The edge of her tail flickered when his hand stroked her hair then over to her full lips. Leaning closer to his hand, she moved to where his hand would brush across her cheek if he let his fingers. When he pulled away from her, a small pout crossed her face before she shook her head and sat up straighter. She didn't want to scare him or make things awkward for him when he couldn't remember anything just yet...

"Do not be sorry," she quickly said, reaching for one his hands. "You are...a demonic elf, like I am. We have different demon bloods, I have a succubus...and you have something different, I don't know what ," she told him, moving her right arm to show him the upside down cross on her arm then reached out to touch his arm as well. "This is the sign of our clan, Darken," she said, watching him to see if he would show signs of remembering...

Valdris held back for a moment. Her words seem to move so fast for him as he sat there. When he heard sister he pulled back a little further as he seemed his cheeks turned a sudden darker shade as if to blush. His mind not really on very brotherly actions. His body rigid as she continued.

"A war? I did this.. this destruction and choas... this horrible thing?" He seemed shock as he listen to her story. His body trembled in fear as he listen to her words more. His eyes flashed wildly at her.

"A demon? me? I... I can't be.. I am evil creature?" He pulled her close for a moment. It was the only thing that seemed right. His heart was beating wildly from everything that was happening. His eyes closed tightly as he nuzzled her shoulder. She felt safe, warm in her embrace. It didn't matter what he was at this moment. He was safe in her arms.

His eyes closed he saw images. A woman of red tossing bright light all around the land. Flashing over the sky and burning the place. He shook his head as he barried his face more into her. He wanted the pain and images to go away and slowly they did over time.

" What... is your name.. I am sorry i can not remember.. I want to but I just can't even remember my own sisters name.."

Shaking her head slightly at him, she noticed how his limbs seemed to shake and tremble under her cloak at her explanations. It must be scarring him... "Not exactly... you were tricked into helping an evil god," she told him, biting at her lip, nervous he may hurt her later for such blasphemous words. Letting her small body be pulled close to his, her arms wrapped around his shoulders as one hand stroked his hair and her tail laid across his lap. "Not all demons are evil," she told him, trying to keep the memories of how she had last seen him from her mind. He had... changed during that time, due to the evil god, she kept trying to tell herself.

"Shh, you've gone through a lot. Do not try to push yourself to remember, things will come to you in time," she said, trying to comfort and relax him. "Eltoas, you called me El for short as I called you Vald," she murmured to him, letting him cling to her as much as he needed. It wasn't like she didn't enjoy the familiar warmth and touch of his skin against her's. The problem was it had been so long since she had last felt -his- touch that she was feeling her demonic side starting to stir and become interested. Purring faintly under her breath, she shifted slightly to allow him to rest against her body more as her arms tightened slightly around his shoulders. Tilting her head down towards his face, she felt the urge to kiss him and to roam her hands under her cloak along his bare form... to take him as her's once again. Shaking her head, she closed her eyes while taking a deep breath to calm herself and push those thoughts from her mind. -That- was the last thing that Valdris needed right now, it would only confuse him more...

"Valdris.. Darken. Your my sister? I guess that make sense. We have the same skin color. It's just so... alien to me. To not know you or anything. I feel as if I should feel guilty or bad about something. Especially now that I destroyed all this. " Valdris turned his head and lifted to meet her face. His smile was faint but it was there. His fingers touched the mark on her shoulder and sighed. She was his sister. But it felt like there was something else. Still he figured he was confused now and it will come back to him some point.

"I wish to help you... maybe fix this place. I really feel I can fix this back to a healthy place to live. "

He looked down at his clothes all torn as he gave a smile. " I don't know why but it feels right being close to you. how did you find me?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 6:10 pm

Looking down at him, she smiled weakly at him before resting her forehead upon his and nudging his nose softly. "I'm the one that should feel guilty, you didn't do anything wrong," she told him, looking away to rest her head against his with her eyes overlooking the ruins. Her tail idly ran along his stomach as she kept him close to her body, trying to keep him warm and relaxed. He had suffered enough without her making him uncomfortable by kissing or touching him... or pushing him down to the ground. Forcing a cough out, she could feel her cheeks warming before she tried to pull away from him to stand and pace about.

"I just...had a feeling you would be here. It's been sometime since this happened, I didn't ever think to find you here until earlier," she told him, shrugging slightly. Growing quite as if to think about his proposal of recreating the building, she watched him from the corner of her eye. "We were... closer then most siblings, we didn't grow up together you know. I was an high elf at one point, the blood we share was given to us by a cursed god," she told him, trying to justify herself in her mind. Maybe if he thought that they weren't -truly- siblings, she could...

Almost growling, she crossed her arms and turned away from him again as her tail twitched behind her, clearly tense she tried to focus on the ruins about them. "I'm sure together we could recreate the house, but I don't know the magic that was used to build it in the first place," she told him, trying to focus on the house and what little she knew instead of what they had done in the house.

Valdris took his hands and wrapped them tightly together as he turned his head towards her once more. He seemed almost at peace with himself to some sort. The torment of an evil soul no longer was in his eyes. His hands gently touch her hand and focused on her dark skin almost in wonder.

"El... huh. Eltoas.. pretty name." He smiled as he spoke.

"I don't want to build the home.. I want to rebuild the earth that was destroyed. How is the hard part.. did I know magics? Maybe I could study or something bring back something. I want to fix what I have done to this place...."

"You knew some arcane magic, but what this place needs it divine," she told him, not looking at him still trying to push away the urges that came to her when her eyes laid upon him. He seemed so... different, relaxed and at peace with himself. Despite her urges, did she really want to tangle him with her demonic affairs? Tail swaying behind her as she chewed on her lip, she finally turned to look at him with a faint sigh.

Dropping to his side, one hand cupped his cheek as she kissed his other before hugging him close to her body. "I've missed you," she murmured to him, pressing close against him with another sigh. "If I can find a way... I will help you, but I do not trust the gods," she told him with a faint shrug. Too much had happened to good people, because of the gods for her to trust them again...

Valdris turned his head to the side looking almost amused by her actions. Her tail moved back and forth which amused him slightly that she even had one. He was so lost in the similarity of there looks he was not paying attention when she rested closer to him. He felt her skin press lightly on his as he started to pull back but stopped feeling her lips press on his cheek ever so gently. His eyes widen slightly as he turned his head towards hers after the kiss.

She was his sister and it was just that. A kiss that was just caring not anything perverted. Why was he thinking thoughts more the a sisterly manner? He was a demon after all maybe it was his demonic urges stirring inside him. Still he was different, it was wrong and there was no way around it.

"The Gods did this to the land... destroyed life. I just feel like everything is gone but somehow relieved. I am sorry El... I might have caused you pain El... I am sorry. I feel that some how... I have done great wrongs.... it's hard to describe."

He looked at her and gave her a strange caring smile. It was something gentle and sincere. Something that was not normal for Valdris.

Noticing the confusion on his face after her peck on his check, she reached for his hand and gave it an assuring squeeze. "Things are... strange with our Clan, relationships aren't what they appear to be," she told him, looking away from him now as she waited to see if he would understand what she meant. She heard... stories and rumors of what his mother had done to him and of course they had been more then siblings, but she wasn't sure how to tell him they were incestuous. Giving him that little hint would be all she could do for the time being, afraid to push it too much and hurting him or turning him away from her.

Letting him speak again, she leaned her head against his shoulder, which wasn't too hard being the smaller of the two. "The gods use their people as pawns, not caring what it does to them... only for the gain," she paused there trying to think how to answer his apology and words of doing wrong. "You've done me no worse then others; what has happened in the past is the past... We're turning over a new leaf together," she told him, looking up at him with a flush across her cheeks that grew dark enough to make them appear darker.

"You... and me.." He cringed for a moment. His eyes looking down a bit as if ashamed. Still it was a sort of sadness in his heart knowing something like that. He touched his finger over the mark of his clan. Still dazed from all the knowledge as he pushed back a bit.

" No more.... please.. I don't want to know any more. Alright?" He spoke softly as he stood up. His body was frail as he simply fell back to the ground.

" This is not well at all. It seems my body still doesn't want to work right." He smiled warmly at her though even in his state.

"Thank you for finding me... El. If you never came I be lost.."

His reaction could have been a slap across from the face from the way she reacted, turning away and standing up to move away from him. She knew that most would react in such a manner to hearing they use to screw their sister, but she was trying to make him understand they weren't the traditional siblings. Tail and ears drooping as she crossed her arms under her breasts, she merely nodded. "I understand, it's a lot to take in at once," she murmured, barely speaking above a whisper. To say she was hurt would be an understatement, she felt... betrayed and cast to the side like a common human. Her first reaction to the pain was to strike out and make him pay for that pain, to show him how it feels, to get revenge... but she pushed those thoughts away and started to create a shell about her to stop the emotions and pain.

When she heard him falling to the ground, her ears twitched, but she wouldn't allow herself to go to his side. "Give it time. You're body's in shock still, it's been some time," she paused to shake her head again at him. "You don't owe me thanks, I should have found you before now. We should get you somewhere safer and let you eat," she told him, pausing again as she wondered what he would eat..if he would hunger for flesh and blood or would actually want cooked food.

" I am hungry, I haven't really eaten anything... well except a small rat I saw. I kind ate that raw because the flavor was a little bitter and the flesh was utterly nasty. Though it was something that told me to eat that."

He frowned a bit as he slowly gained his balance and stood. His eyes looked at her face and cringed a bit back.

"I didn't say anything wrong did I... s**t... I am sorry. I well. I just need to get things straight. "

He took his hand to hers his grip was weak. Nothing like the force he once had. He took a soft tug of her hand. He was nervous, she saved him. She was everything at this moment and the only thing he had left. So he took her hand a kissed it very gently.

"If I done wrong I want to do right... but... I... I don't want you mad at me"
