Hi everyone!

I think I may have introduced myself to this guild before, but even if I did, it must have been so long ago that I may as well do it again.

My name is LunarCrystal, or Carol, and I've been sewing for a very long time now. I love Lolita style and I wanted to get started making a series of dresses. <3 I'm a FIDM dropout, unfortunately. I never finished my second year there, but I did learn pattern drafting and other important things.

Without a pattern, I began experimenting with a petticoat design of my own creation. I looked up various tutorials and things and couldn't find a very good one. So with general information, and my own savvy, I started building a petticoat of my own. I'll try to post pictures if some people here request it of me. ^.^

I would like to start experimenting with the first dress I make, as far as design goes. I'd like some suggestions from people here as far as style, cut, and color I should try to go for. I like working with other's input. ^___^

Anyway, hopefully I can check back on this later and see if anyone replied! This seems like a nice group of people!

As a fellow seamstress, I suggest looking through brand websites for inspiration, such as Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Angelic Pretty, Innocent World, Victorian Maiden, Mary Magdalene, Moi meme Moitie, etc.

If you're trying to find what you can market most easily: Most people nowadays tend to lean toward sweet (Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Angelic Pretty, Metamorphose, etc) or classical lolita (Innocent World, Victorian Maiden, Mary Magdalene)-- Gothic is still around, it's just not nearly as popular as it used to be.
