I haven't seen anyone mention them yet, so I figured I'd throw up a nomination thread, apologies if I'm getting ahead of myself here. Each category will be open to a maximum of five nominations to keep the ballot from getting bloated. So here's your categories:
Best Event The best official monthly guild event held from January 1st 2008 to December 31st 2008.
Best Fight Best single fight outside of the Cyberdome tournament.
Best Karaoke Singer We do a ton of karaoke, so nominate the character with the best pipes.
Best Happening This one is for the best situation to come up outside a formal event. Examples would include Powell versus Three Devils Entertainment and Lucifer Turns Everyone Into Hamsters.
Best Self Contained RP This category is for self contained single thread based roleplays that were active in 2008. The nominees are London Calling/Super Steampunk!, Hero High 2, Post Apocalypse RPG, The Great DC/Marvel Future RP, and Fast Times at Hero High.
Most Heroic Who was the most heroic hero this year? This one is open to both "heroes" and "villains." When nominating look for heroic in character actions both in and out of official events.
Most Villainous This guild deserves a better class of villain, and this award is for recognizing excellence in villainy. This award is open to both "heroes" and "villains."
Best Couple Who is Kapow's Brangelina? Nominate a single couple involved in a romantic entanglement at some point in 2008 within the guild. Canon couples not represented in Kapow are not valid for this category.
Best Rivalry Nominate a pair of characters who had the best feud, whether it be the traditional hero/villain relationship, opposing sides of a love triangle, or (mostly) friendly competition between peers.
Best Team-Up Nominate a pair of characters whose combined antics left you breathless. Both heroes and villains can be nominated.
Best Dressed I think this one speaks for itself. Pick one specific character rather than a handler.
Hunk of the Year Nominate the sexiest male hero or villain of the year.
Babe of the Year Nominate the sexiest female heroine or villainess of the year.
Best CD thread Best thread in the Comic Book Discussion forum.
Best CD hijack Best hijacking of a thread in the Comic Book Discussion forum.

Personally, I really enjoyed the Bar fight after "Tony's death" that had almost 10 characters fighting at once. Ivy through the floor boards and Thor's transformation made me sqwee but my favorites within the overall fight were reading Sabertooth vs Vi and "Mystique" vs Ms. Marvel.
Although I really liked the Helicarrier corridor fight between Osborn and the SHEILD/Initiative crew. xd
And I vote Patience as the best Karaoke Singer!
