My favorite "Game Genre" is...
"Run and Gun"
I'm not referring to those FPS (First Person Shooters) like "Halo" or "Doom"... I'm referring to the 'Side Scrolling' and 'Platforming' type Shooter games like "Contra", "Metal Slug", "Gunstar Heroes", or "Turrican".
Now some of these games like "Turrican" give you a life bar, but others like "Contra" if get hit once you lose a life.
What's your favorite Genre?

That's an easy one for my favorite genre is none other than RPGs, in RPGs I can run around, meet people, and do some incredible magic or attacks. Most of my games that I own are RPGs, heck I even still have them from the 'retro age' of SNES, N64, and Playstation 1. My retro ones I have are Earthbound, RoboTrek, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and Illusion of Gaia for the SNES. For the N64 I have Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. For the Playstation 1 I have Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, Threads of Fate, Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy IX. I have some for the Gamecube and GBA but I'm not gonna list them.

I like simulation games. Sim City 4 (with a bunch of downloads like the Network Addon Mod), Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, and the like. I didn't like Sim City Societies though; not nearly realistic enough.

I like MMORPG's, although I tend to fall for fighting games like Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, and MortalKombat. For MMORPG's, I kind of liked City of Heroes/Villains. I'm looking into starting Last Chaos or Anarchy Online in the future.
