NOTHING SAYS HOPLESS LIKE YOU;;

Chapter 1

My eyes clambered in sleep, there trails leaving white lines in my lids. It was dark, I was in an alley, my fairy pulled up neatly next to me, it was an odd feeling, I didn’t like hyrule; it was too cold. I opened my eyes, as I knew I wasn’t going to be sleeping tonight, and looked around.

There was someone there, at a vending machine. The Alley I chose to stack out in tonight had one single light illuminating it, and it came from a worn out vending machine. The person probably didn’t see me until I started stirring, but even then, they only shot me a glance.

“Link, it’s not good for your back to sleep on the floor.” I recognized it as a girl, it was really effeminate, and almost motherly. I thought over the comment, wondering how they knew my name, or if I knew them. They seemed familiar, but I was half-asleep, so I couldn’t tell.

“It’s not polite to talk to strangers.” I said with a tint of pride, they scoffed, thinking I was rude probably.

“Did you hit your head? It’s me.” The stranger turned in the light, and I could now see fully their face, beautifully adorned in make-up, they’re hair being topped with a tiara, and their outfit was anything less then modern; a fur trimmed coat (can’t tell if it’s fake or not) cutting of at the waist, a skirt delicately placed on their hips, and knee-high jet black boots filling their legs evenly.

“I would assume so, since this is the first time we’ve met.” She scoffed again, and I started to feel a bit of a shiver go down my spin, as Navi, my fairy, woke up next to me and stretched, letting away to a morning mew.

“It’s me, Marth.”

Silence.

I didn’t know what to say, I mean, I knew a Marth, from like, my old apartment complex, but this: this was not Marth. The only Marth I knew was a boy, lazy, working full-time at the local gas-stop, working to make himself the perfect boyfriend for his crush, Roy.

This hooker-like character could NOT have been Marth, even if it had been around half a year since we talked. I stared at them, blinked a few times, thinking it was just me being sleepy affecting my vision, but no, the hooker was still there, her hips swiveling in place, her face growing more hooker-ish by the second.

“Right.” I said sarcastically, scratching my head lazily, turning away.

“No really, Link, It’s me Marth. You know, Roy’s creepy little fan-boy.” At the sudden sound of a soda hitting the bottom of the vending machine, I flipped my head towards them, a dumb look most likely plastered showing fully in my eyes.

“What the hell?” I almost squeak out, but my voice was much too manly to squeak, or maybe not, I don’t know. But He Giggled that familiar Marth-giggle, and I couldn’t help but want to cry, it had been so long. He looked at me, his face fully showing his satisfaction.

“Well, at least I know that you’re doing great, Hobo-link.” He spoke sadly, adding a dramatic sigh at the end of his sentence, bending over to grab his soda, whatever flavor it may be.

“Yeah, well at least I don’t look like a prostitute.” Probably not the smartest idea on my part, as I had forgotten that Marth used to be in a street group, meaning that he was unbelievably tough, and before I knew it, I was being pinned under a high heeled boot. His foot was place on my left hip, causing my to writhe in pain, as my hips were always sensitive.

“Say that again link and you may end up dead.” When Marth threatened, he got away with it. Why? Because every lawyer in town could never let down his huge sparkling blue eyes, as Marth could easily get away with being a woman.

“Okay! okay! You can stop!” I yelled, my voice shriveled into dust as he took his heel off.

“Anyway, Roy said that he had seen you about a week ago, so I went looking for you.” I didn’t care why or whatever as to why he went looking for me, and instead just rubbed my aching hip. “But I never thought I would ever find you sleeping in an alley.” He mumbled, and I wanted to smack him upside the head, but at the same time, I didn’t, since my hip hurt way too much to move it.

“Well excuse me, Princess,” Marth’s eye twitched slightly, but I continued without noticing “For not having a house since my Ex was an a** and kicked me out!” Marth now formed a sympathetic frown, and I just ignored him.

“Do you mean that one bloke, uhhh, Vaati?” He obviously had to think about the name, but I continued to ignore his new, annoying, flaws.

“Yes I do, I found out from sister, Midna, that he was cheating on me, and I got pissed. Though I don’t see why I should have to tell you.” I said lethargically, trying to settle myself back in next to my fairy, Navi.

“You should tell me because I’m your friend.” Marth said, and all of my laziness and hurt seemed to almost instantly evaporate.

“FRIEND?” I was now standing, my eyes level with his, and bursting with sparks. “I haven’t seen you in almost a half a year! And You think I still know who you are?” I don’t know what came over me, but I was so freaking pissed, but something must have happened at that moment, that one small climex, because soon I was awakening in an unknown room, unknown bed, with people around me talking.

“-th, I think you went to—“ I heard someone saying, a quick tone in their voice.

‘where am I?’ I thought, opening my eyes and looking around, I started trying to focus my eyes, but got nothing. The world started spinning as I tried to sit up.

“Link, lay down.” I heard a very nice, familiar, motherly voice say, seeing another blurry body, I assumed it was then. I tried moving my left arm, crying out in pain as a shot of pain shot through it.

“Don’t move your arms, they’re paralyzed.” The quick voice said again, and I couldn’t understand where I was. The room was too cozy to be a hospital, or even a clinic, and it was too bright to be somewhere that I knew of. And then it struck me;

I’m in an unknown room with two people that I don’t know doing god-knows-what to me.

I think I’m going to have a heart-attack.

Isn’t that a lovely way to wake up in the morning?

ending transmission.
