Hey, have you ever seen one of those CG animated movies? Have you ever wanted to at least try and mess around with some software and make one of those CG movies? Have you looked around at the various software out there, such as 3ds max, maya, etc, but felt the price was a little bit out of your budget? Well, this may be something you might be interested in.
There's this free open source software called
Blender. It's basically a 3D modeling/animation program that you can use to make a bunch of cool stuff with. It's a little complicated to get into, but they have a bunch of tutorials on their website in the
education and help section of the website that'll help you get right into it.
If this is right up your alley, I'd definitely suggest checking it out. I'm fiddling around with it myself and plan on making this big project out of it for school. Who knows? Maybe if you're interested in it, we could work together on something and make this big thing for the sake of making it.
