That is one way to look at it. The one way I see it is, do it if you wont want a child that you wont care about. If you want you better damn well take care of it. That is how I see it, cause we don't need any more mess up children in the world as it is. But then again that is how I see it but I'm also a liberal person. . . .O_o;;; is that a bad thing?

Woah now. Pro-choice for the exact same reason.I personally think it's wrong and would never abort a baby, but I'm not going to force my beliefs on others. (May I say that I am in no way saying that Pro-life people "force their beliefs" on people, I'm just using it as a phrase for me.)

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. I also consider myself a rather liberal person. It's just the way we think, no right or wrong about it (in most cases). Oh kay, you can continue.

I think people should have the option of abortion, only because it would be worse to have the baby and then have it suffer before it dies. However, I personally think that if you could find someone to adopt it then you defiantly should give this small, almost child the gift of life. I would not force someone in either direction, but personally I would have the kid.I don't know If I will say the same thing 5 years down the road, but that's what I'm thinking now.

That is true, some one could and adopt the child if the person who is having it dose not want to keep it. It's just amazing by some of the people who pick it out for wrong reasons and hurt the child they chose to have and give life to some should just not have the child and just move on. My room mate believe that if you are raped you should be able to do what you want. Cause he said why would a girl want to keep a man who she never met baby not care for it or even grow to hate it, but there I know some girls/ women who would keep the child. But that's just one way it is seem by many people.

Personally, I stand with a pro-life stance. But that said, it's only an expression of what my personal choice would be.
Adoption is an option, but I say this: Americans (from my knowledge) don't look into their own nation first. We adopt from other continents like Asia and Africa, and yet we could just solve the problem if we all tried to look less like Madonna, et al.
I think rape should fall under an extreme case. There are some things that make the situation difficult to cut clearly. It *should* be personal choice. I don't want the government having authority, especially not on a national level, about what does and does not happen in individuals lives.
With abortion, there are effects that are not usually looked into very hard. Some of the situations put the mothers in risk because they don't go to a clinic that can ensure their wellbeing. There are emotional struggles that have to be dealt with one way or the other. There's a line that we have to decide on if we want to argue this out well.
--I hope I can keep up to date with this one. I'm headed out of town tomorrow, but I'll be online over the week.

I honestly think it's refreshing to hear so many individuals profess that they are pro-choice. I am currently a member of a church that would absolutely shun an individual who believed that it should be a personal choice whether or not they want to keep the baby or abort it. (which angers me to no end). Every single person on this earth has their own mind; therefore, they should be given the right to exercise their ability to think and decide for themselves. Personally, I am pro-life. I will be giving birth to my first son in less than 3 months, and I couldn't imagine aborting a human being that hasn't even been given a chance to breathe (or think for themselves) yet. However, I'm pro-choice when it comes to government interference. A woman should be given the option to go to a safe place to have her baby aborted if she so chooses. Because pro-choice has been implemented into our nation, a woman knows that she always has this option. If the government were to go pro-life all of a sudden, we would find many babies who would be aborted illegally and unsafely, which would cause numerous other problems for this nation.
Great topic. I'm waiting to hear from someone who completely disagrees with this viewpoint. I hope they can give a detailed excuse as to why they are.

Pro-Choice, Reasoning? Same as said before If a woman is raped she should not have to have the child because random statistics have been shown that children that were produced via a rape either live really good lives or really horrible ones, not many in betweens, Reasoning is Either mom doesn't want the child to turn out all evil like the father was, or in the other way They feel the child needs to be punished for having a wicked father.
My main thoughts really is, If a woman really REALLY wants to get an abortion, its not my personal choice to say 'No' its her body, she understands the risks of doing the abortion so kudos for you.

You called for red?
Pro-life. A baby is a living human being regardless of brain function and stage in pregnancy. And I don't like telling people how to live their lives, but that doesn't mean I want to legalize murder. The purpose of law is to legislate morality, when you look at it. Besides, I'd rather have a crappy life then not have one at all.

Remember, Remember As Ronald Regan once said, "I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born."
I am pro-life. Every single little embro that has been destroyed is a life that has been taken and I abhore the very idea of it. That little lump of tissue inside of a pregnant womans belly has a soul, regardless of whether or not it's brain is fully developed, and when it is aborted it has been killed. There is no diffrence between getting an abortion and killing an infant or a even an adult.
If this were a perfect world it would be that simple, but unfortunatly our world is far from perfect. There are impregnated teenagers and rape victims every day that have to face this difficult decision that no woman should ever have to make. Practicing abstinence or at least being safe are the first two steps to ensure that this never happens, but some teens are denied this knowledge because society does not want them participating sexually at all. Not to mention rape victims never get this chioce.
I personally think that abortion should be denied to women who 'accidentally' get pregnant, for example if they refuse to use condoms because they want to enhance the pelasure of their relations or if their choice of birth conrol fails. Condoms and pills are not 100% accurate and they took that risk when they decided to be active. Abortion should never be utilized as a last resort birth control.
I do however understand if a girl is raped, denied information on safe intercourse or other circumstances. I still do not aprove, adoption is an option that most refuse because they just want to get rid of the problem immideiatly. I know that no woman in her right mind wants to kill an unborn baby.
"No woman wants an abortion as she wants an ice cream cone or a Porsche. She wants an abortion as an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg."~Frederica Mathewes-Green But still, life is life. I wish that this was easy to solve, but abortion is certainly not a black and white issue. I wish there was some way to fix it so that everyone is happy but their just isn't. I will live a pro-life stance, but I will not condem or judge those who dont.
