Wake up! Wake up!
It's ONE WEEK till Christmas, and do I have some presents for you! Come one, come all to FlatteredPawn's Christmas lottery!
For the last week I have been puttering around the Marketplace cleaning my inventory. When all was neat and tidy I realized I had a nice lump of spare change lying around. Not knowing what to really do with it the Christmas Spirit hit me and I decided I might as well use it for a wonderous event to try and get some activity into the Guild!
Still unmotivated? Well stay focused... and listen carefully.
For those who have never participated in a lottery before, I have 'tickets' which will sell for 10 gold each. You will need at least one ticket for your name to go into the lottery. Each ticket you by increases the chance that you have to win.
Speaking of winning, the prizes are as follows!
--
FIRST PLACE:
20,000g AND a Monthly Collectible AND Avatar Art or Disney Art of your choice.
SECOND PLACE:
10,000g AND a Monthly Collectible
THIRD PLACE:
5,000g AND Three Random Items of MYSTERY!
---
You excited? I am! To by tickets, Start a trade with me, label the trade with how many tickets you wish to purchase - with the appropriate gold attached. Remember, tickets are 10 gold a piece!
NEW RULE (even though I really have none...): You can purchase a maximum of 20 tickets.
NEW RULE: You CAN, I repeat, CAN win more then one prize. I'm been running a few random number trials and realized that the more tickets you buy the more successful you will be at getting multiple prizes. More incentive for you to buy! BUT you cannot win two prizes with one ticket.
Selection of prizes will be by the random number generator to make everything nice and fair. I WILL re-roll if the same ticket is drawn twice.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTICE I did this contest to try and create some more excitement and more ACTIVITY. SO! I decided that the winners must post in this thread after they have been announced a winner. I will not PM nor start a trade till there is a post after Christmas Eve. The deadline for the winners post is New Years Eve.
ALSO! To award active members. I will give out a FREE TICKET to everyone who posts in this thread. Post has to include a sensable sentance. Multiple posts = Multiple Tickets (and getting tickets this way makes it possible to go over the 20 ticket limit!)

No one's chatting... or spinning tales of the epic Christmas lottery. We need noise and excitement!
Anyone have any tales of Christmas to share?

Ahahaa, sorry! I have been epically busy shopping and whatnot! xd
I'm attempting to draw a picture of a family photo for my parents (and maybe a copy for my aunt and uncle too) for Christmas. So far, I have a pretty good chunk of the outlining done... Depending on how it goes, they're all going to get a framed sketch of the outlines of everyone's bodies, with no facial details. lol sweatdrop

Tralalalaa~ I like your new rule. lol
My drawing is coming along pretty well so far. Still no faces, but the body shapes are a little bit better. As long as I stop procrastinating (BAHAHAAA, LIKE THAT'LL EVER HAPPEN!), it should be fine. :]
So, anyone have any plans this holiday season?

yellowsubmarine1969 SNOWMEN ARE COOL(LITERALLY) BUT EVERY TIME I START MAKING ONE I QUIT BECAUSE MY HANDS GET COLD! Too true. I have that problem as well, which is why I always have a partner in crime. The main difficulty I find is that big insulated gloves really suck when it comes to building, so I wear the thin cottony cheap ones. I do all the detail work with those gloves while my brother in his bulky mitts does most the snow rolling. Though, my awesome snowman was vandalized this morning by a bunch of punks. I'm thinking of taking drastic measures!

I'll write down their address and after that, take a plaster mould of their footprint, march to the public safety building around the corner and file a complaint. Give them my evidence and tell them that this act of vandalism must be brought to justice and made into an example for all other vandilizers! Think of all those poor wee kids who pour their heart and soul into those men of snow...
