There's a topic in another Guild called "Ask a Canadian", and since there seems to be some...misconceptions...about Canada, I thought it might be fun to do something like that here, in the style of the "Answer Me!" game.
Kind of a "get to know your neighbours" thing. And no, we're not going to do something like "talking to Americans", despite the amusement.

It depends whether you value your time or your money more. Most stuff is free (i.e Flu shots), but you typically have long wait times, even in the ER.

Time-wise, it's no different here. Even with a scheduled appointment, you're left waiting for long periods of time. Just to have the doctor examine you for a minute and tell you to come back if the problem persists for more than 2 weeks. And then you get nailed with a ridiculously high bill which insurance (if you can afford it) will cover, at best, only partially.
That's not always the case, but it's becoming increasingly common.

How common is French?
And what are the weather patterns like? Typical four seasons, but with a longer winter? (I live in Minnesota, so I'm wondering how similar/different it is between here and Canada.)

We have a ton of French-only schools, where speaking English is "forbidden" (not really). I had to learn French in school, and I think Audrey did too. You have to be bilingual to work in the government. We actually have an entire province (they like to think they're a country, and once tried seperate) full of french people, Quebec. Point of humor: you can tell who's French or a "Quebec-er" if they buy cheap cigarettes and Pepsi. En dey tak lak dis for some reason.
Weather patterns differ from area to area; it's a stereotypical Canadian winter out there right now.

I only believe you economy is based off of hockey. As well as maple syrup and the word "eh?" And large warm hats. And I love Cananada.

Maple Syrup isn't a primary food product; the stuff up here is uber-concentrated. You can taste the glucose a little too much.
