Banished...outside. My warm cove is now off-limits to me. Forced to sleep outside in this unbearable weather. There is an over-cast of moistness. The world is drenched in a misty fog that clings to the glass of the humans metal beasts. I had an unghastly experience when I went to jump atop its back to scope the darkening road for a bird to snack on, but once my paws hit the clear windshield, I immediately slid back, leaving two track marks longer than my tail.
Aggrivated and unsatisfied, I decided to retire to the porch, to curl up in the corner of the door, where the most heat was generated. It was the best place to sleep, especially on a winters night like this. I've never experienced the cold before, I myself being a mere yearling, or almost so. This is my favorite place in the world, when the weather isn't this sharp, and on days when the weather isn't biting your fur, I enjoy a stroll around my neighborhood. I eat my comrads (and my enemies) food, while they are huddled up inside with their masters, and I rub up against their owners legs when they do decide to come outside. It's my way of sticking it to those wretched cats that hate me as much as I do them.
But tonight, I am not able to do this. It is much too cold. So I must please myself by huddling up close to the warmest place possible.
There is a slide beside me. My ears perk to listen hard and my eyes jump up to meet my own human. She's tall to me, but compared to the other humans I see in and out of this home (and others), she's short and a little wide. Young, though, her spirit resembles a fifteen or sixteen year old. Though I know better than this, for she has a child whome is only a decade younger than she.
She kneels down and pats my head warmly, cooing to me in her native tongue. I hear my name several times, but make no motion to notice it for her. I just take her long strokes and purr contently underneath her godly hand. She has brought me a treat! She drops a piece of white meat at my paws and I greedily chew it up, happy to eat anything but that dry catfood she serves me each day.
But when I look up from my snacking, she's gone, and I imediately get up to go and look for her. I am very concerned for my human, and I love to follow her when she goes out on strolls. She is my protection from the damned feline next door. Her size and intimidacy is enough to send HIM running up a tree!
And lo and behold, as I turn from the porch and look underneath the flood-light, she stands, looking up at the stars at something that I can not see. But I can feel it. The little ice balls are cold on my back and I shiver and rub up against her leg for comfort. She takes no notice but thrusts her legs forward and walks towards the sidewalk. Fifteen minutes, maybe half an hour go by, and I begin to see what she is so fascinated with. Strange cold flakes, that look like ashes on the end of her cigarette, are falling at me. They are impailing me from every direction, clinging to my fur, and making me cold! Thank goodness she notices me and bends down to shower me with pats and kisses. She eventually picks me up and tucks me down into her coat. The strange, cold ashes decide to impail upon her face instead of mine and I pur and watch as they melt into little icy puddles on her cheeks, nose, and even her tongue!
Can I even catch them? Not with my tongue, though, experience has told me that ashes are not very pleasant tasting. But I reach out my paw and swipe the air in attempts to snag one for myself. Ah ha! Success! I bring my paw in to smell, but all I can smell is WATER! Normal water! This witchery must be unhealthy, but it seemed all the more fun!
The world begins to turn white. We've been standing out here for an hour i'm sure, for the sun has gone down and the moon sits high above us and these strange new toys. I'm settled onto the ground, the ausphalt is cold underneath my paws, but no snow sticks to this. Our yard, however is a dotted mix of white and green. And the hoods of the metal beasts are completely covered! Maybe now I won't slide down the window and as I follow my master up to the garage, I leap up into the blistering cold white. I can't pinpoint how I feel, I just feel the bitter cold against my paws and I meow to my owner in hopes that she could possibly tell me what to do. She just laughs at me and calls to me and walks around the house to the door to my cove.
She stops there, her hand remaining nestled into her coats pockets, and happily looking through the windows at the warm light that showers through. What a curious thing to be looking at.

I love the adjectives you used on this, though sometimes the rift between lucid description and casual narration seemed to clash.

Nice, though.
