This is where you will post your roleplay ideas. Now, at this stage, they should just be that: Ideas. It doesn't have to be all thought out and ready to go. This thread serves two purposes:

1: To help strengthen the RP so that it will be fun and playable for it's targeted audience.

2: To help gain an audience who will like your RP, so you won't waste three hours making an RP that no one will want to play(Hopefully, this will never be the case.)

Now, I need a few basic things if you want to submit an RP here. You need to fill out this skeleton:


RP Name:
RP Type sad See Below)
Genre:
Rating sad Nothing higher than NC-17)
Level: (Semi-lit, or Lit)
Basic Concept sad Or a full blown intro if you have it.)

If you don't know what to call it, or change your mind about any of these things, that's perfectly okay. Just make sure you specify that a parameter has been changed, and edit the original post with your changes, so other people can see the edited work.


Here is an in-depth description of what some of these things are:

RP Type: There are two main RP types, and we welcome every type:

1: Adventure: When the location constantly changes, and it follows a major plotline.

2:Town: When the RP takes place in one central location, usually a town, village, or sometimes other locations, like a School, hospital, or other location.

Genre: I shouldn't have to explain this, but RPs can be any kind of genre, ranging from Sci-fi, Fantasy, Realistic, Horror, or Fan-based, where the plotline is in some way related to an established series, in which case full credit MUST be given to it's original media. RPs can incorperate two or more genres if you think it's appropriate.

Rating: Not every RP will be about rainbows and ponies. There will be RPs that contain language that might not be suitible for younger people. The ratings go(If you've been living under a rock since... the beginning of time) G, PG, PG-13, NC-17, or R. An R rated RP is NOT allowed, by the way. Please note the rating that you intend to have on your RP. Ratings incorperate graphically obscure scences, such as intense violence, profanity, and other such things.

However, common sense must be applied here. If it's rated NC-17, that doesn't mean you can use the F word in every other sentence, or describe in-depth sex scenes. Cybering is NOT allowed, no matter what the rating.



Level: This Guild demands a higher standard in RPing, but that standard can be taken in many different ways. Semi-lit RPs use paragraphs to RP, and are generally rather short int post lengths. Full-blown Literate RPs are massive, writing in very long paragraphs, each one filled with beautiful descriptions that a Semi-lit RP cannot do. A Literate RP progresses much slower than a Semi-lit RP, but is far more visually adept. In the end, it's your choice on what RP you wish.


Basic Concept: This depends on how far you are in the process of creating the RP. If you just have a basic concept down, then write it here, and the guild will assist you in helping it along. If you have a full introduction ready, then post it here.






Now that you filled it out, the editing process begins. Here, fellow guild members will assist you if you want it, as well as ask questions about your RP. Before you complete your RP and post it in the forums, You must complete two things:

1) Have at least two people reply to that topic an say they will join when it goes up.
2) Have me or a mod approve of it.

Once you complete both objectives, you may post your RP in this thread. Happy RPing everyone!

And if you can pull off the "mystery" and "suspense" in it, im in. I love surprises and romance and action, and pretty much anything with mystery.

Plus this rp sounds like it would be great for character building.

1. Oh, sorry, I guess I shouldn't have used the word 'Institution' in the description. No, it doesn't take place in a mental hospital. It's its a type of boarding school [hense the students] dedicated to giving disabled and/or handicapped students a good education in a more normal enviroment. It's to be expected that their would be a large medical staff on hand if there was an emergency.

2. I meant 'Arc' as a general way to seperate the different events I'll plan to keep things interesting. New characters might show up, but the setting will always remain the same [the school] for the most part.

((Ok there was little I changed in the actual video game story because of two reasons: 1. I want this rp to be almost just like the video game and 2. I lost my imagination a year ago and im trying to get it back but it will be quite different because of the characters im hoping))

The year is 1960 and your invited to come and watch history unfold before your very eyes. You are excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the future and be apart of a new dream. This utopia was built underwater in the mid Atlantic Seabed constructed by the richest building material witholding the pressure of the ocean. You have no idea what beholds in that dark underwater city as you prepare for your tour into Rapture. You dont know anything about the city other than the ticket that you recieved in the mail that reads: "Welcome to Rapture: Witness the furture before your very eyes! Take an underwater Tour today!" It sounded interesting and you take the opportunity. You take an airplane accompanied by many strangers some who have never heard of such a city and only a selected few who recieved the ticket. Everyone's destination is different but all your destiny's collide in one suspensful and horrific moment . . .

Im still working on it quite frankly.
Would it sound good if we went staight to the beginning? The first opening of the city? I was thinking some characters you play will not survive the city and only a few have the skills too.
That will be the first chapter: The Introduction
Then the other chapters there will be a plane crash with passengers on it near Rapture and you know how it goes... (just like the game)

Unless you have a better idea? I just feel like rping Bioshock so I dont care who makes this rp or where it takes place, I just want to be apart of the cruel, sadistic, horrific, action of the game!

If memory serves, Bioshock 2's multiplayer is also another full-blown story mode. It takes place before 1, starring dozens of characters that struggle to survive when Rapture went to hell. You should base this RP around that. The players would be Rapture citizens, not full-blown Splicers, and they struggle to escape Rapture.

If I had the money, I'd get Bioshock 2. But my birthday's in a month, so I can wait. But I played the first one more times than I will admit, so I can say(Without coming off as arrogant) that I know my way around Rapture. If you need help, I'll be glad to do so.
