This road connects the capital of Han, Jian Ye to the city of ChengDu in Chu and is a very large and long road. It travels through both kingdoms and crosses a single large bridge to get to Chu or Han depending on the direction of travel.

Sun Shang Xiang

One may say it is rather dangerous to ride alone in enemy territory. Another may say it is foolish to ride alone. And one more person might say you are a complete idiot for doing both as well as being a girl!
But Sun Shang Xiang would not. She is the only true daughter born of han. She is the only daughter of Sun Jian and Lady Wu. Her brother Sun Ce and Sun Quan have warned her many times to take at least one unit of men but she refused to as such.
Frankly what looks more suspisous a woman riding horse back alone with a bright smile enjoying her day or a woman with a unit of army men all around her. Now thats just asking for trouble
She was in Chu to take a look at their wears and such so she could trade and see if she could find any intresting weaponry. She failed miserbly. Noithing seemed to fansy her as much as her weapon did.
"You know child there was innocent blood you could have spilled" said a voice only inside her head. "And feasted on it to make your body stronger for me would have beeen very nice. Your spell casting could grow. You could even bring back people from the dead." it seemed to hiss in her mind.
Shang Xiang ignored it and just shook her head slightly. She was on her white stailon and kicked it and it took off. "Hiya" she said and lowered her body to the horse to make it go faster.
"Child stop!" yelled hte voice in her head.
Shang Xiang pulled back the reins while the horse willied and whinned slowing down to a stop. "What" she muttered looking around. "what do you need, I just want to go home." she said to it.
"Child.......becareful......riding your horse so fast causes suspition and we don't need that in foreign territory." it said rather wisely.
She sighed and go off her horse. She pulled hte reins forwords. "I'll just walk then" she muttered
She sighed and looked back not far from Chu. "I need a drink" she muttered.
She turned around and got on her horse and road back to chu.
Very indicive(sp?) she is.

Sun Shang Xiang was back on her horse slowly trotting its way back to Han so that she may return home.
She closed her eyes and gave a soft sigh. "I wonder though....." she muttered. "What has happened to my husband"

Mei'd never been good with horses. She'd been thrown from more than she'd ever care to recount and, truth be told, they scare her. Those hooves are awfully heavy and make fine projectiles.

It didn't hurt that she'd seen a stallion rear and lash out with his front hooves, killing a man by striking him in the temples, when she was a child. It had been a general's large horse, well over 18 hands and built like a draft, but with an arabian's finicky temperament. Quite a beast in every sense of the word.

Shaking her head, she clears her thoughts of the awful memory, choosing instead to admire the simple sights and sounds offered on the long journey ahead. It'd take her quite some time, but she really hasn't anything better to do, or anywhere better to be.

The road's long, seemingly endless, and though kindhearted individuals lit lanterns at night, the dim light afforded along the journey is both unreliable and quick to wane. By the time Mei makes it to Chu, she's had enough of walking. Perhaps, just perhaps, she'll have to give horses another try. Walking's for the birds.

ChengDu is a long trek still, a journey Mei endures with borrowed patience. By the time the well-welcomed sight of the gates of ChengDu loom before the girl, she has soured to the experience and is in a less than favorable mood.

It'd have to do, for now. Give her a drink and a place to rest, and she'd come around in due time.

With this objective in mind, Mei approaches the tall, broad gates, hoping against hope that the guards won't give her grief.
